Sheep Leather Skin -Whole Skin 7 to 10 SF - Brown

I ordered brown leather & expected something mid brown or walnut coloured.What came is a brown so dark it was almost black. Ended up dyeing it so it came out alright in the end.

Like most real leather swatches, the edges aren't straight or perfect, so you cut quite a bit off of it. Even with that however, there is quite a bit of useful material left. Very soft and great for bags and sacks, etc.

from time to time, I would go downtown to the Tandy store (which was more like a warehouse...) and I would buy some "remnants". However, Tandy stopped selling remnants and I don't want to buy a ton of it (Tandy has minimum purchases). I use the leather for coin purses, dice holders and other small hobbies and the 7 x 10 ft amount was perfect. The leather was actually sheep leather that is super soft and is 100% real (not that fake stuff you get purchase at JoAnns). The price was reasonable and the material is top notch. I am very happy and will be buying more in the future. It isn't thick enough for belts or saddles, but not thin enough for clothing. Somewhere in between. GREAT DEAL!

This is our second order from this company. We ordered the same color and were happy to see their similarities. This particular selection had more holes than the last order and the holes were significant larger than the last skin as well. Some of the holes were about 2 inches or more in diameter and some were about a centimeter. They were on the outer edges so it did not affect the pattern we intended the skin for. We are still satisfied. We are new purchasing leather skin but we have no complaints.
