I have done a lot of ironing over my 60+ years and 7 strong family and this has to be the best ironing cover I have ever had. The choice of sizes let me get one that fitted properly. It was easy to put on and tension and the fabric tucked right under all the edges of the board for full coverage. I actually ironed out the packaging creases as i laid it loosely on before I tensioned it properly so I got a really smooth base. It crinkles as you fit it and a little bit as you iron but that is just the layer that I think might be the magic ingredient because boy, did it smooth out every wrinkle from my ironing! If you are going to iron, which I do, then having a quicker, higher quality finish is the way to go. ALL the wrinkles came out of my stuff and with no effort and no backwards and forwards. Looks like my garments have been pressed at a dry cleaners. I know I need to go get a life but really this is great!

The cover is good quality and ironing is improved. It’s a shame the clips are not strong enough to hold the cover underneath the ironing board.

Nice and thick, fitted surprisingly well. Once you have the cover tucked over the wider end of the board, turn the board upside down (on a bed or table) and pull the drawstrings. Firstly fit the little plastic, spring loaded, locking mechanism onto the chords and pull. It works well, with no bunching up in places, really smoothly. When you fit the elastic tensioners (3) make sure you open them wide enough to feed over the thick edge of the cover before clipping them down. On your own 5 to10 minutes. Very pleased with the result. Makes ironing even more enjoyable.

The 5-layer design provides excellent padding, making ironing smoother and quicker. The quality is top-notch; it fits my board perfectly without slipping, and the material feels durable yet soft.It makes ironing a pleasure to do as it holds the steam & the heat halves the effort normally needed!The only thing I feel I must warn you about is , whilst ironing and using steam, you have to be very careful not to have your free hand near the iron as the iron board cover is so good at its job it intensifies the heat of the steam and I have learned my lesson the hard way ! Don’t be put off by this though because the way it holds the heat is the reason I get the ironing done so quick & effortlessly.The 50% off deal was a fantastic bonus, bringing the price down to just £28.68—truly great value for money.If you’re looking for a premium ironing board cover that delivers on comfort and efficiency, I highly recommend this one!

Great fit ! A bit difficult to fit as it needs two persons to do so. Other than that it great!

The cover is very good quality and big enough to fit properly. The only real problem was not reading the instructions thoroughly before starting the fitting process!! It could do with some additional straps for the underside to keep it tensioned, but I have found some suitable bits on Amazon. All in all, a good outcome and looks good (if a good looking ironing board is a real thing!!!)

I purchased this ironing board cover to replace one that had finally "given up the ghost" after about six years of use. I chose the "Smart & Gentle" product based on the reviews of others.The price was a little higher than other competitor products, but concluded that it must be worth it.Installing the new cover was quite easy. I was impressed by the use of the three elastic webbing bands which when applied to the edges of the cover on the underside of the ironing board, draw the sides securely together.Sadly after only three days of fitting the new cover, the ironing board itself failed after ten years of good use. (No fault of the new ironing board cover.) I removed the new cover with the intention of purchasing a new ironing board of the same size. By so doing I'd have a spare cover on hand when the one on my new board needs replacing. Sadly, when I carefully removed the new Smart & Gentle cover from my old ironing board, I noticed that the foam sub-layer lining of the new cover had been torn at the "nose" or pointed end of the board.Given the price, I was disappointed by this. I took care when installing the cover, so I have to conclude that the manufacturer needs to upgrade the quality/thickness of the said sub layer. I've applied some wide parcel tape adhesive to the tear in order to repair same. By doing so I still have a spare cover for future use.
