## Questions & Answers

**Q: How are Veloforte chews different from energy gels and when should I use them?**
A: Chews give more carbs per pack than a single gel, around 40g against 22g, in smaller pieces you can pace through an effort. Easier to chew at high heart rate than a bar. Most take 2-3 chews every 20-25 minutes past the first hour.

**Q: Does Veloforte Amaro have caffeine and how much can I have?**
A: Amaro contains natural caffeine from guarana, useful in the second half of long efforts. Sour cherry is the dominant flavour. Cap at 5 packs a day on caffeine. Not for under-16s, or if pregnant or breastfeeding.

**Q: Are Veloforte energy chews vegan and allergen-free?**
A: Yes. All five flavours, Amaro, Citro, Fresco, Mela and Nero, are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free and GM-free. No major food allergens, so they suit nut allergy too.

**Q: Do Veloforte energy chews contain electrolytes?**
A: Yes. Every pack provides 145mg of electrolytes, including 95mg sodium and 50mg potassium, to replace minerals lost through sweat. That is more than the 110mg sodium in the gels. The electrolytes come from Pink Himalayan salt.

**Q: What does Veloforte Fresco taste like and is it good for hot weather?**
A: Fresco is lemon and cool mint, a Great Taste Gold winner. The mint tastes refreshing late in a hard effort. No caffeine. Often picked by runners and triathletes who want a sharp, clean taste mid-race. Vegan and gluten-free.
