Rugged enough for today's air travel and holds a LOT!
I am almost a professional traveller!! I fly a lot - Usually twice a month or more - usually on Southwest. This 22" bag FITS in their overhead. I recently wandered to another carrier by error, and their economy regional Embraer jet with glove-box sized overheads....that was trouble. I "think" I might have been able to squeeze it in, but I gate checked it instead. For any real airplane, this will fit into an overhead. This is my second, exactly the same Olympia bag - the first going to secondary usage due to some wearing, long term. If I say 3 yrs old, it is probably 5 years old! The end strap handle was cut by something, and I feared it would rip further. And, a fully stuffed end pocket finally developed a failure down at the bottom. The handle and wheels and all else NEVER failed!! So, I chose to buy another to replace the older one. Very high quality - good, strong stitching all around. Plenty of pockets, and the Zippers, wheels, and telescoping handle are ALL heavy duty and strongly built. Excellent value for the money! I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. My bag frequently is checked...who know what happens down there! I try to carry on....I fully expect another 3-5 years of happy travelling with this bag! Or MORE!

Great, cheap bag
Use for paintball, which is a little rougher than these are made for, but still last about a year (this is my 2nd one of this size, and 1 smaller one when I started.) GREAT storage layout for what I use it for. Very large on the inside as well. Bigger than the paintball bag I just bought at 4x the price. Would have just bought 3 more of these had I known! Update 7/12/15: Ok here is some info about these. I've found the main weakness in the bag that are causing most of the complaints. The wheel area of these bags are designed to fold for easy shipping. This unfortunately compromises the structural integrity of that area where it's designed to fold over. Also, the curved "structure" in this area is a rather flimsy piece of soft plastic that doesn't hold its shape very well. This will cause the wheel area to sag under heavy weight which will eventually cause it to drag on or near the ground. This will self-destruct shortly thereafter. My remedy is to put several long pieces of duct tape very tightly over the folding and curved wheel areas of the bag running parallel to the wheels. This should stop the collapse and restore the structural integrity. Make sure you use the longest pieces of tape you can as the El Cheapo duct tape I used wouldn't stick to the fabric properly. Going to try better tape. I still give this bag a 5-star rating even though I have to adjust the bag myself. Why? The price. Sure, I can buy a $125 dollar bag with better wheels and structure, but that is over 4X the price of this bag and if this fix works, for $1 worth of tape, I just saved $90. However, since I don't travel with this bag, I'm not sure if I would trust this for that use. I can replace this bag any time I want. That is not the case according to travelling reviewers here. So if you were going on a short trip, this might be your thing, but if you are going to drag this all over the place, I would indeed invest in a better bag.

Perfect bag for a competitive dancer! Alternative to Dream Duffle, Rac N Roll, or Dance Angel.
This is the perfect bag for a competitive dancer. This is an affordable alternative to the Rac N Roll, Dance Angel, Dream Duffle, or any other comparative bag. We used PVC pipe and made a garment rack to stand inside the bag. I also made a curtain to hang on the garment rack to turn the bag into a "dressing room." Any portable rolling garment rack under 30" can fit inside this bag. This bag can hold everything you need for the dance season. It's stood up to lots of travel and recitals. It fits easily in the trunk of a car. The four side pockets are very deep and can hold large items. The wheels make it easy for a young dancer to maneuver the bag on her own. We love that we can pack literally everything we need into one bag. I'm 5'6 and this bag comes to my hips when it is standing up. We pack everything in plastic shoe boxes and organizers so that when everything shifts when you stand it up, nothing moves very much. You can also sew metal rings into the top (the end with the handle) to hold clothes on a hanger so that when you stand it up, they don't fall to the bottom. I give this four stars instead of five because the fabric is wearing between the wheels. Pros: It's enormous and can hold enough for the competition season for at least two dancers. It's very large. Huge pockets that can hold large items or lots of items. For example, one side pocket can hold 6 pairs of dance shoes. It can hold a portable garment rack that can be packed into the bag. It's easy to travel with and maneuver through crowds and long distances from parking to venues. Cons: The fabric wears easily on the bottom between the wheels. The bag can tip over easily when standing on its own. If not packed full, things will fall to the bottom when you stand it up. It can be "too big" for little kids to use on their own. It can be too big for small, crowded spaces.

Great Value for size
So very happy with this purchase. This carry on holds a tremendous amount of clothing and toiletry items! I used this several times on a 4 day trip to New York. Very easy to pack and the rollers were so helpful in pulling rather than carrying this on my shoulder. Zipper quality was great. Very pleased

Very good Rolling Duffel Bag - Will work as Carry On or Checked Bag
Olympia Luggage 22" 8 Pocket Rolling Duffel Bag Color: Black Product Overview: The Olympia Luggage 22'' 8 Pocket Rolling Duffel Bag is a very sturdy duffel bag, it's build with decent quality material and every single inseam point and zippers are well built and should withstand long periods of use. The Olympia 22'' contains 8 pockets (compartments) Main Compartment (no internal pockets or dividers internally); 4 Medium Pockets located on the lateral of the duffel bag, being 2 pockets on each side. 2 Medium/Small Pockets located on top of the main compartment; 1 Larger Pocket located at the same extremity where the front and smaller carrying handle is. Other items to consider: Rolling Duffel Bag As stated in the product description, this duffel bag contains a recessed / hideaway pull handle. As Carry On Luggage (22'' Class) This duffel bag can be used as a Carry-On Item in most large / international flight routes. As stated in other Amazon Reviewers, I would not advise to have this duffel bag 100% full or you may encounter problems placing your bag on the overhead storage compartment. Checked Bag Since I purchased this bag earlier in August 2015, I made a round trip flight from US to Argentina and decided to check this bag to test its durability and how sturdy was its construction. As results, even though I had to take 5 flights on my way there and 5 flights (6 airports) on my way back, the bag made it perfectly. No tears, no broken zippers. Pros: Well built bag; Can be used as a carry on or checked luggage; Sturdy construction; Will hold a very large amount of items and weight. Has a built in card / identification storage with easy access and protector screen. Cons: Minor - The recessed in-like skate metal ball bearing wheel system in the hideaway pull handle will constantly 'unlock' the pull handle. If possible, manufacturer should review this minor flaw. Review Summary: I recommend for casual, leisure and business travelers. In it's black configuration the bag looks elegant and discrete. About the Reviewer: Business Traveler, 25% of work load constitutes of International Travel between US and South America. Suitcases and Carry On Bags undergo constant poor/harsh conditions due to multiple airport / airplane connections.

Perfect carry-on bag for that geek in your family.
My wife bought a pair of these bags for us and the first thing I asked her was why? We have two perfectly good, 500lb, giant 10 year old luggage bags that look like they've withstood a nuclear holocaust. Why did you need to go spend money on something new? With reluctance I kept my dirty, handles missing, flea infested luggage bag in the closet the last time I traveled and brought this one instead. Pros: + It's super light. 5-10 pounds at most. + It has wheels and rolls. If it falls over while rolling it doesn't break my fragile programmer wrists from the weight. + I'm a software engineer and also a man, in that order. I've only worn a t-shirt and jeans since the day I saw my first computer. I can pack about 7 t-shirts and 3-4 pairs of jeans into this sucker. Let's be realistic though, I only pack 1 pair of jeans because you can wear the same pair for 3 weeks and no one notices. Unless they get close, which they don't, because...software engineer. My wife on the other hand can fill the bag with the thoughts of the clothes she probably won't but maybe will think of wearing on Friday. + It's soft and squishy like a duffel bag. This could be a pro or a con depending on what you plan to do with it. It's a pro if you plan on carrying this bag onto the plane and smashing it into the overhead where it fits perfectly. It's a con if you're coming back from San Diego and you plan on filling it with bottles of rare Pliny the Elder beer and hoping the baggage handlers will respect the 27 fragile stickers you put on it. Hint, they won't. - There are tons of little pockets all over it to fill with your knickknacks. They're small though, you can't fit much in them except maybe headphones, chargers, stuff like that. - It has handles that stick together so that you can carry it like a duffel bag if you want to show off your muscles to the ladies. I prefer rolling it. Cons: - The handle could come up a little higher. I'm 5'8 not 4'9. I'd appreciate not having to bend over like I do at my desk all day while dragging this bag through the airport (I may be exaggerating a little). I'd like if it came up another 2-3 inches. - The wheels don't rotate. If you take a corner fast the bag can tip over. - The handle doesn't lock when you pull it all the way out. This isn't a big deal if you always pull your bag but if you decide to turn around and push it, the handle can push in which is kind of annoying. Overall it's a good carry-on bag. It fits into the overhead nicely and it fits a weeks worth of my clothes when I need to travel somewhere for business. Plus it's a really good price. 4.5 stars.
