3M Hand-Masker Painter's Plastic Plus, 9 x 400-Feet, MFB-9

The Painter's Plastic has been a game-changer for my painting around the house and on several projects. This product is just the round of the mill plastic, but of good quality as it makes the masking process quick and straightforward. It comes with a lot for the price allowing me to cover large areas without constantly needing to replace the roll or cut up for many projects. The plastic is durable yet lightweight, making it easy to handle and cut to the desired length for anything I required.One of the major pros is its 'clinging' ability. It sticks well to surfaces, preventing paint from seeping through and protecting areas from overspray. This has saved me significant time and effort in cleanup, ensuring a professional-looking result every time for my DIY projects.There are a few minor drawbacks with this. The plastic can sometimes be a bit tricky to unroll and manage single-handedly, especially if you're working in tight spaces in the crawlspace. Also, while the plastic is durable, it can occasionally tear if caught on sharp edges or rough surfaces, so extra care is needed during the job. Watch for loose nails.In the end, this product is a nice to have for any painting project. Worked great for all my painting and crawlspace needs..

I've never had very good luck masking off with plastic. It would look like a 3 year old did it and if it was up for an extended period of time it would fall down in spots. It was basically a two man job and it is just me. It got to the point that I just covered the floors and then do the required clean up to the walls. My next project was scaping the texture off my ceilings and saw this and thought I would give it a try. It dispenses easily out of the box and "starter" tab makes it easy to get the tape on the plastic and stuck to the wall. it is easy to cut the length you need. The plastic clings to the walls so it looks like there is a film on the wall and it helps hold the plastic in place while you apply the tape. I did the entire upstairs of my house by myself and it almost looked like a professional had done it. I was extremely happy with how easy it was to put up and the durability was excellent for being as thin as it is. You get a lot plastic for your dollar. I bought another roll just to have on hand for my next project. Definitely the best thing I have come across in quite a while.

I taped the plastic sheeting to protect our walls while scraping off popcorn ceiling. The sheeting worked great--the right amount of cling and a good height for 8-foot walls. Would buy again.

This is not thick, it is very thin, opaque. I thought it would be thicker but it does to the to cover what you need to not get strayed or painted. It tears easy do not for heavy use. But a lot of material for the price.

I’m a handyman and go through a few of these a year on my various painting projects. I love the static cling they have which makes it really easy to lay plastic by myself.I’ll continue to be a die hard customer.

This is not intended to use for automotive spray paint. 3M Painter's Plastic Plus plastic is designed to protect wall, floor, furniture and windows from overspray and paint drop. Static cling makes the protection plastic easy for one person to apply, tape and unfold.This is a very thin sheet of plastic compare with 3M automotive grade Plastic Sheeting 06723 for spray painting. I have used this for masking automotive surfaces from overspray, and resist solvents, and no bleed-through. However this plastic is not treated and will not prevent flaking and overspray does flake.Get 3M automotive paint grade treated plastic sheet for spray paint but this will work if you just need to spray small panels, or hood, or door.
