You must have Garrett MS-3 wireless headphones in order to hear the Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk wirelessly in your headphones.

Q: Does this come with the battery installed?

Yes. All authentic Garrett Pro-Pointer ATs come with the battery pre-installed by Garrett. Make sure whoever you purchase from is an authorized Garrett Dealer ( verify at Garrett.com ) to avoid receiving a counterfeit item.

Q: What gold detecting capability does this have for crevicing bedrock?

It would work very well for crevicing bedrock. It's waterproof to 20 Feet and you can get into cracks where gold hides.

Q: Can this be used with the minelab equinox 800 metal detector?

It can be used with any detector, but it will only sync through the headphones on a Garrett Z Lynk system.
