Measure the defective cover , order the size you need and I cut the cover to match the defective one

I found it to be the same thickness as the one I was replacing.

6" X 4-3/4" You cut them to fit. If possible use your old one as a pattern.

Q: Can microwave be fixed if sparks appear?

Yes, just replace the wave guide. Either buy a set of sheets and cut to the same size or order the exact same replacement part if you can find it. I initially ordered a set of 10 sheets which are very economical and cut to size and it worked great. Then I searched for and found the exact replacement part which costs more for one piece and had delayed delivery. They both worked the same and the microwave performs just like brand new and it is at least 10 years old.
