Very nice beginner set especially for the money
I still use most of the tools that came from this set. The tester/holder is really quite nice for such a low price, and while it took a little smart-making to figure out how to assemble it properly, it really wasn't that hard. It took me a little bit to realize that both pieces of acrylic had a protective plastic lining that needed to be peeled off. Frankly, I kinda wish I'd left it on because the acrylic does tend to smudge easily, but even still, it's really nice to use.I will say that the switch-tester part of the station is easier to use with Cherry-type housings than with Kailh-type housings, although it is technically compatible with both. At first, when orienting the bottom of a Kailh switch the same way as a Cherry, I wasn't able to get the top on, but orienting it 90 degrees didn't change that. Then I put it back the way it was before, this time being extra careful to keep it as centered along the axis perpendicular to the Kailh tabs, leaving as equal a space on either side of the Kailh tabs to slide down, and it worked. So, TL;DR, it works for Cherry and Kailh housings, and they're oriented the same, but you have to be careful with Kailhs if you want to reassemble the housing while the bottom is in the tester/holder.I will also note that the station has little plus-shaped holes, depending on how you look at them, meant to hold the tops of stems, as well as circular holes to hold the springs. And just to be clear, with the two acrylic plates assembled properly, they can't fall through (unlike the switch housings, which can, although they won't if you're careful. However, those +-holes won't hold box or box-like stems in the same way, but I haven't found this to be a problem because you can just put the center pole into the +-hole and let the stem stand on its legs, although this isn't as secure. Still, it hasn't been a problem for me.I still use the cap puller, even though I've since gotten a 2-in-1 cap and switch puller, since having two cap pullers can make it easier to pull the spacebar. Plus, it's a bit looser than the 2-in-1, and so I use it for larger modifier keys as well. The brushes work just fine. I used the lube that came with this set as well as one of the brushes to lube my Flamingo switches, as well as the stabilizer housings, that I got with my RT100, and they worked quite well. Might not be Krytox, but it got the job done and I've been very happy with the feel and sound of the Flamingos since then (although stock Flamingos aren't bad either). The tweezers are really nice, too. I got a pair of curved tweezers to complement the one that I got with this set, and they both work well for different applications, or even the same applications at different angles. The only real complaint I have is with the stem-holder. The prongs are uneven and sometimes it's hard to get a hold of the stem properly. Once it's on, it's on good, and I don't have any further problem. It's just that initial grab that's not always great. I might spring for a new one. That said, speaking of springs, I've read comments and reviews about the stem-holder deforming people's springs. That's to be expected because you should be using your tweezers to hold springs, not a stem-holder. It puts too much pressure on what it's holding as it tries to pull the prongs back in. The stem can take this pressure with no problem. A delicate spring cannot.Overall, I've been very satisfied with this starter set, and while I've add to it, I still use the core components to one degree or another. Definitely worth it if you're just starting out and want some tools to work with.

It’s not scratched / foggy, you just need to remove the film
I saw lots of reviews saying they returned it because it was scratched and not clear- there’s a film on both sides you need to remove (4 total) in order to get the clear shiny goodness! I do wish there were instructions on how the little rubber washers should sit - right now I have them sandwiching the top layer.I’ve used this kit for 3 different types of switches so I’m going to break down the components:Tray/Housing: Again, peel off the protective stickers. It’s a bit odd that it holds 33 switches but only 22 springs and stems. Since I bag lube the springs, an extra square dish would be better for me than the spring slots. I also prefer to use the included jewelers claw holder to lube my stems instead of trying to lube them on the station, so the stem holder slots are meh for me. Since this is just preference I’m not going to knock itSwitch Opener: This was so hard to open the first time. If you run into this I recommend prying it open with a tiny screwdriver. Worked great on my Gateron Cherry style switches. I had trouble opening my Akko Kaihl style switches, but I’m unfortunately not sure if it is that the Akko switches are smaller, or if the tolerance of the opener is too large.Brushes: much better quality than what came with a different set I purchased and I’m grateful for the tip protectors. That being said I’m lazy so I like a thicker brush, but if you’re looking for fine brushes with lots of control- you’ll like these.Tweezers: These are surprisingly high quality. Very happy with!Lube: I unfortunately have never used Krytox so I can’t compare, but my switches are no longer scratchy and pingy and are way easier to type on, so I’m quite happy!Switch and Key Puller: Does the job! My hands started to go numb by the end of pulling all my switches but I think that was my PCB being tight and not the puller. The key cap one pulls key caps…. Yay!Jewelry Claw: This is the only thing that I wish was better on this kit. The arms on mine are wonky and its hard to get it to grab the stem correctly - I kept ending up with one side doubled and thus one side empty. All and all, this kit is very very worth it for the price! You would spend so much more money buying these items separately and the only cons of this kit are the claw and maybe the switch opener and layout.

Actually like this product.
Lot of time when ordering on amazon, you get a lot of chinese knock offs and just poor quality items, on what you are hoping will be a good item. lot of items will break, be poor quality materials and just be bad over all, but this item actually works! Some assembly required. And some peeling of the plastic protection film, but over all its exactly as described. I was at first a bit worried as the product has made in china sticker right on the top of the case the tools come in. I immediately thought oh no have I bought a knock off, but actually everything inside is good quality and works fine. I dunno that its a knock off but it works, which is a welcome surprise. I would recommend it if you need a switch kit for your keyboard lubing and switch assembly. I have no complaints.

Me encantó.

Great kit, decent quality.
My switch stem holding too arrived in multiple pieces, I thought it was broken at first, but then figured out how to screw it together. The tray itself was easy to assemble. Good size bottle of GPL 205G0 PTFE lube. Beefy switch pullers (had some trouble fitting in small spaces, but I have other switch pullers for them, it's otherwise the best quality switch pullers I now own) great quality brushes compared to those that are included with other kits I've seen; 000 and 0 gauge. Everything else listed was included.I was able to get 16 switches in at a time, opened up. But 11 felt more comfortable. All In all, I'm quite happy with it. great value bundle for the money for someone like me just getting into the custom keeb hobby.
