Update!!
Update: clasps on side that hold cloth to metal have broken. Feeling less and less like this was a well constructed product. 🙄Update: We have since had two parts fall off the wagon. Non essential however very disappointing. The bag cover didn’t come w clasps, something I didn’t catch at the time of unwrapping. I have to lower my stars only bc this item is available at Costco for much less and I’m disappointed with the instability of the pieces.Money well spent! Goes well in the sand. Held my beach bag, cooler, beach toys, and two toddlers no problem. I’m 5-9 and the handle extended fits me perfectly. No assembly at all literally box to beach. Folds up nearly flat w a nice little protector cover. Would fit between driver seat and back seat if you didn’t have an SUV or trunk space.

Needs improvement
I purchased one very similar 2+ years ago (they are both pictured). I needed a new one that was better for puting a toddler in vs just transporting items. So THIS wagon right out of the box is impressive. The metal cage is thick and strong, it can stand upright, has good brakes and I noticed a "seat belt" was already installed. The space between the front wheels is also a plus since my old wagon couldn't handle uneven weight. I also noticed immediately that the wheels on the 2 wagons are drastically different! That was a surprise to me. My old wagon did amazing on the beach, we would pack it up like crazy and it would glide over the sand. Some people don't seem to think there are actual "beach wheels" aka wheels that can handle a soft sand terrain. When comparing the 2 different wheels I would be shocked if THIS wagon could handle a trip across a California beach. I also think that the walls of the wagon need to be higher which would make the inside deeper. How is this wagon supposed to be "heavy duty" and handle 150-300 lbs of weight when you can't even safely and confidently load it with things that are more than 11" tall? *eye roll* Super annoying. This wagon also came with a useless cover; the material wasted on the cover should instead be used to add pockets/storage to the INSIDE walls of the wagon. No wagon I have found has everything that the majority of people are looking for. I'll continue to use my old wagon for beach trips and THIS one will only be for taking my toddler out. Maybe in year or 2 I'll search for another wagon, hopefully by then the designs will have been improved.

Highly Recommend - Beach Goers Read Below
Extremely pleased with this cart so far. I live at the beach and needed a solution I could count on to handle the sand, stay steady when pulling, and be durable in the elements. I'd say this wagon hits all of those marks. The only "warning" I'd have is to check the weight of the cart to determine if you're comfortable with that aspect. I did find it to be surprisingly heavy to load and unload out my my vehicle when collapsed. It is also VERY heavy to pull across sand...but to be fair...EVERY WAGON I see being pulled in the sand of ANY style is clearly requiring some muscle (typically from the man) pulling it alone. As a single woman, I managed, but I wouldn't be able to pull it very far down the beach in dry sand. Of course if the sand is wet and packed it's MUCH EASIER..and is like a FEATHER to pull on pavement, concrete, etc.. Regardless, I still think it's the best made wagon on the beach and would highly recommend!!

Solid, pulls easily, but plastic clip is in bad spot
Bought this as a gift for my brother and his financé who have a 1 year old. They use it all the time for day outings and it works great. The wheels are plastic but sturdy and large enough to be pulled around rough grounds (like apple orchards) and have a nice pseudo-paddle tread on them that allows for decent travel on sand. The only real downfall is the placement of the plastic piece that holds it into the folded position (black plastic piece centered on the top back of the basket.) It usually ends up right in my nephew's head or back when he leans up against the back of the basket, you can always throw a decently thick blanket over top of it and solve that but it seems strange they couldn't relocate that somehow.

Better Than The Mac Sports Wagon
I am really digging this wagon. As a father, along without something like this. This particular wagon has the wide wheels, and I like it a lot more than my Mac Sports wagon. Once that wagon hit Beach sand, you are basically just dragging it like a sled on four points dug into the dirt. This wagon is a little bigger than the Mac Sports wagon, but a whole lot better. One thing I really wanted to clarify for anyone else who is curious, because I couldn't seem to get a straight answer on this, is that the texture and feel of these wheels is something between rubber and hard plastic. It's not quite hard plastic, but it's also not soft rubber. It's something in between. I think it'll be okay for pavement and asphalt and concrete, and I know it'll be a whole lot better for beach sand than the traditional narrow rubber or hard plastic tires.
