Review: Overall good, everything works the key cards and fibs were all programmed and the instructions got it working but there’s a information deficiency in the provided instructions. Only three of the 12 wires ( 5 if you connect a bell ) are used leaving some features nonfunctional or unused without better documented instructions. Such as how to set so that a card swipe AND pin pad entry are required for entry and the functions of the other unused wires are left a mystery I searched for a document page but there’s many iterations of this hardware and they don’t all have the same user procedure to program or default codes Also you’ll need 12 volt wire and angle brackets or z bracket with additional hardware to install on a door it’s not included. Review: The install directions were not as clear as I hoped, but self installation was still easy. I did by a door bell to wire in also. Depending on where you plan on installing everything make sure you have plenty of wire on hand. I installed the main unit in the attic and ran wire down to the door open button and keypad. Because of this setup, I did have to run out for more wire. Performance has been great. I'm pretty sure the manual is wrong. It says #>admin code>3>Time>#, but to change unlocking passcode is also use #>adm** A: According to the instructions, the code to set the unlock time is "2" not "3", however, I found that it did not work either. You are supposed to get two short beeps indicating successful programming. It always beeps 3 times, which indicates unsuccessful programming. The "TIME" adjustment potentiometer does work to adjust how long the lock remains open. The access hole is on the right side near the back. You need a very small screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer. Turning fully counterclockwise yielded an unlock time of 3 seconds. It is very sensitive and turning just 1/8 of a turn clockwise increased the time to about 25 seconds. **Q: What is the rfid range?** A: Range is short. Fob must practically touch the panel. I originally mounted on a metallic door and had to rub the fob against the panel. On a concrete wall range is a couple of millimeters. **Q: Can i program rfid cards with this unit? thanks** A: Yes. It has everything you need for standalone deployment, but can be easilly integrated with other systems. I install the keypad outdoors and have had to replace it every few years as sun and use degrade it. Ordering the correct individual replacement parts has proven difficult, but who cares? The whole kit costs far less than replacement parts for alternatives. Installation instructions are a bit Ikea-ish.
