It is made in China. (at least - mine..) **Q: What is the difference between the salt grinder and the pepper grinder?** A: I have both the pepper and salt grinders. The internal workings of the two are the same - they both have ceramic grinders. The only difference, other than the salt coming pre-filled with salt and the pepper with pepper, is the ring around the OXO badge on the top of the grinder. The salt is white and the pepper is black. **Q: Does the 5 grind settings get in the way of your hands while grinding?** A: No **Q: Is this a set (two) or just one grinder?** A: When I purchased my set of grinders from OXO, it was 49.95 for both. I do not know if they are sold individually.
