SYGAV Android Car Stereo for 2008-2013 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X Head Unit with Carplay OEM Rockford Fosgate AMP Radio GPS Navigation

At first I wasn't going to give it a review I personally had a lot of complaints. But after tweaking some things and realizing this thing does actually have wireless Android auto I'm really happy with the purchase. Don't get me wrong theirs some gripes like how you don't control the factory sub like before you actually have to play with the equalizer and know what your doing instead of twisting a dial to turn the sub up or down. Or the fact all the usbs will not charge your phone at all. You can send data from your phone to the unit but it will not charge your phone period it won't lose charge but it doesn't gain anything either. Other then that it solves a very fundamental issue for me. 1st I drive an 08 which had no hands free system in it... and it's a 5 speed... so trying to talk on the phone if you had to was near impossible. 2nd the audio quality. This new unit sounds incredible I can hear every bit of the song the sub is perfectly balanced and not overpowering and thumps really hard when it's suppose to the equalizer does actaully work however as mentioned the dial to adjust the sub is just a placibo unless you get an aftermarket in which case who knows if it works but you don't need it if your an audiophile which if your purchasing this you probably are. 3rd navigation. When you use apple or Android the navigation on this unit is fanominal you still control Spotify while you drive.. for some reason does not give you directions on a turn by turn... but if you look past that small little detail which could just be a me problem the fact that it has it is awesome. And lastly number 4 on my list is a back up cam for those of us who struggle with depth perception. All in all not a bad way to spend money to modernize your evo or lancer very very easy to install lots of videos showing you what to do just wish there was a way to trouble shoot little issues with it better or contact a customer support if you needed it. But so far no issues out of the thing as far as it working

5 Stars simply because of the costumer support I got from the seller the product was great fit, works amazing and it is plug and play just make sure you order the one for your car 2008 to 2013 uses a different harness than the 2014 to 2015 with a oem Rockford Fosgate Amplifier just FYI. The systems sounds better than Oem and can be tuned if you want also.

Out of the box everythingblooks so nice and professional. I was intially ver excited to get started. Very quickly though, I ran into fitmentvussues that nearly ended the entire project :( you see, the HVAC vents must be moved over from the oem surround i to this new one for the installation to be completed. PROBLEM is.... the vents wont go in as expected... the beautifully large screen thatvis the centerpiece and arguably the buggest reason to purchase this kit extends into the space behind the vents causing them to not fit i to the housing mounts. I had to literally cut and dremel the vents themselves yo even get them to "almost" fit correctly. Even then, I had to resort to using Epoxy to hold them in place as the torsion they are under pushing againt the screen edge wont alow them to click into their respective latches. 2 extra days were needed yo modify the vents and epoxy them in place and to cure fully allowing them to function as factory designed. This was a MAJOR pain and nearly ended my installation. Taking a cuttingvblade to the kit after spending SO MUCH on it, was not an easy thing to do but in the end I literally bent the thing to my will and now have a piece that will install and function (presumably). I will put it into the dash tomorrow finally. Fingers crossed!!!

Returning immediately. While ordering I didn't see an option for used, but I received a unit with someone's information already assigned and harness already used. The unit operated very slow. Conducted a factory reset to clear other person's information and try to speed it up. After doing so the only working option is BT. It don't come with carplay or android auto as advertised. Also no updates are available for this model unit so I couldn't download anything newer. Definitely not worth the money. Save it for an brand name.

I got the one for the Fosgate system, I paid the installer $200 and he had it done in 30 mins. The sound is so much louder and clearer than the stock fosgate headunit... It's obvious that the original fosgate headunit was not capable of driving the amp or speakers. Sounds so good. Android auto is great, I have it set up w/ Waze and Spotify.

I am changing my review back to 5 stars. My sound issue was corrected after contacting the seller. The informed me that the rockford fosgate system does not need all of the harnesses. See attached image. After removing the two harnesses, the rockford sound system came back to life. My only complaint now is coming through softly on the microphone. It sounds great at idle but my voice gets somewhat lost while driving. I will look into other microphones to see if they can fix it at all. Correction. The old head unit was swapped with the SYGAV head unit with very little issues, however I relied more on previously watched YouTube videos rather than the provided instructions. Everything works and looks great after being installed, however I am giving this 3 stars because the overall speaker volume is lower than I believe it should be. I would never take my original car stereo to max volume because it would be deafening. However with the SYGAV unit installed, I can take it to max volume and the sound system would barely be beating highway road noise. If I could find out whether something is incorrect or how to correct it to allow for a higher speaker output, I would gladly give this a 5 star rating.

Purchased this unit to replace the factory radio on an 08 Evo X with the Rockford system, The interface is nice. The screen is responsive and the display looks well. However I do have 2 complaints, you will NEED to trim your air vents as other reviews have mentioned. There is no way the oem vents will fit without trimming however it's not to much. I'm glad I already had a Dremel so this wasn't an issue HOWEVER the head unit itself does not sit 100% flush with the dash, Which I definitely expect it to for its hefty price tag, also when I play music it seems to distort/delay I have an IPhone 15 Max and it is not obstructed so I do not suspect there is any issues with my device but rather it's an issue with the Bluetooth on the head unit. Also if I do turn up the volume past 3/4 the audio will also distort even after fine tuning the EQ again I suspect the Bluetooth unit itself isn't super great. Besides those 2 issues it's a good looking unit, However personally not worth the hefty price tag with the issues I have encountered.
