Simple functions, but not very loud. Great for light sleepers or cat-nappers. No way will a heavy sleeper hear the beeping... ha! The alarm only goes off for 1 very short round unless, of course, you snooze it. But if you just let the alarm go and continue until it stops (few seconds), then you could possibly sleep through it and end up waking up late. In my opinion, it's a good current value. I love that it's battery operated, so no wires. Great for a child's room, for my reason for purchase. My 5 year old daughter is learning to wake up independently, and I find that this clock not having a wire was the safest choice for small children. These clocks have a good protective cover. Easy setup and functions. Depending on the angle you look at the clock, you may have a slight problem seeing the time clearly, however, the numbers are large and crisp and very legible reading straight on. I purchased the purple clock. The backlight is also purple. I absolutely love the size of the clock; not too big, not too small... a perfect clock to travel with. I really do like the clock for general use, but it is not effective for heavy sleepers. My daughter and husband are both heavy sleepers and they both slept straight through the alarm; my daughter sometimes hears it, but she'sgettingused to it. I am a light sleeper and it was perfect. I just love that these come in various colors, so I may purchase more in different colors. Very inexpensive, cool looking, and functional. ♡

This is the absolute best alarm clock for my 6yo! It’s drop-proof with the rubber cover, a great value, comes in lots of colors, is easy to use, has a bright backlight (which can be turned off at night), goes from a slow to a rapid beeping noise for the alarm (but isn’t crazy annoying), and works great. My 6yo can turn it on/off easily, and it has made our morning routine so much easier. (No more being grumpy with me for waking them. They just wake up on their own.)

Display can be hard to read both with the light on or off and no dismiss option for the alarm but easy to set

My grandchildren told me I needed to buy 2 of these, so each could have one in their bed when they visit. Wonderful colors, soft, rounded non-edges so they can’t get hurt. And the price was very reasonable. They will be able to check the time all night long if they want.

It’s reliable and looks good.

Purchased Sept 2023, stopped working June 2024. I initially thought it just needed new batteries, but replacing them didn't work. It just won't turn on now. The "nightlight" feature works, sort of. Now, hitting any button just powers on the nightlight screen, no more clock/alarm.

I’m extremely disappointed with the Plumeet Digital Alarm Clock. After only three months of light use, the clock has completely stopped working. It was working fine initially, but suddenly, the display went blank and it won’t turn on, even with new batteries.

This alarm is just perfect for a simple clock. EASY to set the time and alarm. EASY to turn off in the morning. And my last 2 alarm clocks were neigther so this is a welcome change! The silicone cover keeps it in place on my dresser and the size is great. Not too small but big enough that I can read the time without my glasses.Now, here is the one thing that might make or break this clock for you.... When you press a button the numbers illuminate and after maybe 10 seconds that illumination turns off. You can still read the time in a lit room. This is great if you are one of those people who doesn't want artificial light in their room while they sleep. But know this- in order to view the time in a dark room you must push a button (any button) to view the time. I'm ok with this. It's great for me because I like a dark room. But that might be one thing to note for yourself. Bottom line? Solid, simple well priced clock. Lots of value here.UPDATE Jan 20/17: Our daughter had a problem with her own alarm clock (a different kind), and so I temporarily gave her my Plumeet one. Well, I have had to order another one because she won't give it back! She loves it. I also ordered one for our son. We thoroughly enjoy using this clock.UPDATE Jan 2019: I have now been using this alarm clock for 3+ years. I still love it and recommend this clock! I have only changed the batteries once in all this time. I guess if something were to happen to it I would want to buy this one again. However, I can see the price has doubled since my original purchase, and that might be a consideration in re-purchasing it. Its a GREAT clock, but at $40+...that is a little steep for what it is.

This clock was perfect for my young boys for their room. Easy to read, durable and the light function is good for them if they wake up in the night.
