I have sensitive skin and have to be so careful what I use on my skin. When I got them they were super hard and dry and I was a little skeptical, but once you wet them and let them soak the texture is amazing! It's almost a gel like texture and when you use it, it leaves a wonderful soft feel to your skin. I used it without any soap or cleansing product and my face felt like I had used moisturizer.It's hard to tell from the pictures, but they definitely swell when they get wet. They go from a hard rock to a squishy texture that is unlike any sponge I have ever used. There is no scratchiness at all.UpdateI loved these sponges so much that I bought another package for my dogs. My white Jack Russell has super sensitive skin and even a soft white cotton cloth will leave his skin looking red and irritated. The small sponge is perfect for cleaning around the eyes and ears. With this Konjac sponge, there was no irritation and it was super easy to use.I love the fact that they are plant based and completely natural. I would highly recommend this to anyone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome for kids with eczema!! *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2016* My friend told me about Konjac Sponge a while ago and I was skeptical about it at first but boy, was I glad I bought it!! My 3 kids (all under 6yo) all have sensitive skin with severe eczema. I always try new things myself before using it on them. The sponge is made of all natural vegetable fiber so I don't need to worry about any chemicals -- hence, I used it on my face. The sponge is surprisingly gentle and soft despite the fact that it looks coarse. My skin felt cleaner and softer the next day. Unlike scrubs and other exfoliation products, the konjac sponge does not leave the skin irritated. It literally exfoliated without the "harshness." It has a jelly like consistency that just feels so good. I also want to mention that I love the string/handle that is attached. I'm able to hang it in the shower after use so that it can dry off. This definitely will be part of my face washing routine from now on.Now, onto the kiddos. I usually use a wash cloth to bath each of my kids. When I took the sponge out, they were fighting over it :) My 1.5 year old daughter was able to use it to bath herself. I was a bit worried at first because she has severe eczema but it was so soft it doesn't scratch her skin. The round sponge was perfect for her tiny hand. My 3 and 6 year old use the larger one and likewise, they had fun bathing. I guess I don't need to help them anymore :) Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unexpectedly Awesome! When I ordered these sponges to use in shower, I really had no expectation. I only hoped they were soft for my sensitive skins. I do a lot of gardening & get quite dirty especially on my knees. I wanted something soft to softly scrub that wouldn't leave red splotches on my skin. When I opened the pkg, the sponges were hard. Following the instructions I soaked them in the skin for about half hrs. The transformed into soft balls of gel like pieces. They thoroughly cleaned my skin while not feeling like I "scrubbed " my skin. They feel very much like a soft gel ball. After use the outside hardens up a bit, but quickly softens when put in water. I LOVE THESE & WILL BUY AGAIN AFTER USING THE 3 IN THE PKG!!!Updated review: 5/11/17: I've tried almost every Konjac sponge sold on Amazon & love all of them. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to have it on Subscribe & Save.
