Do you sprinkle it on before or after baking?

Hi there, On or before baking what? If macarons, yes. Sprinkle it on before baking your macarons. DiamonDust is best sprinkled as an accent to cookies, cakes, cupcakes, etc. Thank you.

Can it be mixed in with buttercream frosting?

Unfortunately it is not best utilized in this way, the product it's self is for food use and though it is approved food coloring if you try to add it to any ingredients outside of a few that are clear such as Isomalt, clear piping gel or drinks it will loose much of the shine. The DiamonDust is a product that is considered an interference color, as such the best way to utilize it is to have it as topical use primarily. So sprinkling it on Buttercream not mixing it. Adding it to the outside of chocolate dipped strawberries not in the actual chocolate. This will allow the lite to hit the mica and give it the sparkle. Hope this helps

SO sparkly!

I used these to make sparkly rose champagne drinks for my cousins wedding shower and they were perfect! They made everyone's drink SO sparkly and luxe looking. Did not need much for each drink, I made probably 30 drinks worth and still have more than have of this container. I got the white diamond color which was the perfect diamond sparkle.

Like: Color - perfectly warm silvery champagneWorks pretty well in a powder spray bottle but flies everywhere,Subtly adds sparkle to desserts,Will buy again.Dislikes: Can't use to "paint" using alcohol or water. Sparkliness is not as effectiveCost. Pretty pricy.

Sooo small

My fault for not looking at the size but it’s soooooo small for $8.50! Probably won’t be purchasing againEdit: will not purchase again. There’s no glitter about it once it’s on the item. Used for cookies and cupcakes. Looks so cool going on and you get excited but then it’s just a purple yuck on your cookie. There’s nothing glittery about it. So disappointed
