B&P Lamp® 2 1/4" Fitter, Screw-On, Uno-Type Shade Holder, Unfinished Steel

I was dubious at first. I thought it would have it's issues but I decided to take a chance anyway. It's been a full year of using this on my antique floor lamp. No problems so far! It's durable, solid, not flimsy at all. Definitely recommend.

This item was exactly as pictured and described. The size is exact. I purchased to hold a very old art-glass shade as an up-light on a fixture I am making myself. Obviously, you need to consider the type of glass to be held by the screws. The screws will hold it sufficiently, regardless, but I will add very small rubber caps to the screws so as not to chip the edge of my piece as there are only 3 contact points. I think this is fairly standard, but there is potential for high pressure at a single point. My shade is slightly irregular, 3 points of contact is good, 4 might be slightly better if you can find one.

This is just the part I needed to finish an antique floor lamp I have been rewiring

The ring kinks when sufficient pressure is put to the thumb screws to secure a lamp shade, cheaply made and thin.

Worked perfectly.

This threaded onto a very old light socket and allows me to restore the lamp.

Good look for a antique lamp glob attachment. The screw on feature is better than the clamp style I used before.

Impossible to screw into a lamp fixture and does not sercurely hold a glass lamp shade.
