Pretty awesome, great value.
This paddle seems great for river/flat water kayaking. The weight of it is astoundingly light and feels well built. Once in motion it seems quite effortless to continue down your path. The blades feel quite natural when cutting into the water's surface and nicely relaxed.Honestly I was skeptical at first try due to the outer diameter of the aluminum shaft that is the handle. But the foam padding/hand grips flushes out to a very comfortable feel of 1.25"The drip rings do sometimes like to slide down the shaft crowding your hands and thus getting the paddler slightly wet. This is easily fixed with a few zip ties that are 1/8" wide and set inside the 'rib' of said drip rings. Very pleased for the price, and ordered another the day after first trying the new paddle/oar. Great value and happy with this purchase, now keep a second with me for backup for me or friends who paddle along with the girlfriend and I.

Amazing Paddle for the price
I love this paddle. I've been eyeing a Werner for awhile now and had plans to make the 2 hour drive to the metroplex to go get one right before a group paddle down the Illinois river. Long story short I didn't make the trip down and ordered this paddle instead. I had very low expectations with this paddle but was so surprised with it!!Love the green and white color!Ultra light! The paddle made it to my house in two days.If you're looking for a cheap paddle with great reach and low weight buy this one!

Up a river with, half a paddle!
My experience with this product goes as follows...It was a cool summer morning on a flowing river. We set out and launched our kayaks. I felt especially well, as this particular day I was using my brand new Propel paddle. With a green aluminum shaft and wide swooping white paddles... even equipped with a cool graphic to match the kayak and attire.Off we went! Headed on a 12 mile paddle down the river. Birds were chirping, eagles were flying overhead, otters were playing along the banks and there were even fish swimming right below our kayaks. All was excellent as we paddled along... then CLANK! My brand new swagtastic paddle snapped in half like a twig breaking beneath your feet on a hiking trail. Now here I sat... 1 mile down river... and only 11 more to go, and all with only half a paddle. In the 11 miles of river that lie ahead, I had a few obstacles to overcome. Several small rifles and one class 3 rapid were on front of me, all the while, I still have a broken paddle. The river banks were steep and the location very remote, so stopping to pull out and figure a new plan wasnt an option.I grabbed the lo gest half of the paddle and alternated sides as I paddled a kayak like a canoe with my brand new... broken paddle! I made it through the rapid, and all went well....however I now need a new paddle. The shaft is extremely thin and just snapped under normal paddling pressure. I own the same paddle for my wife's kayak, just in black/blue and it is mu h thicker aluminum tubing. Beware of the colored aluminum shaft paddles as they are thinner walled to increase profit margins with the process of coloring the aluminum.

Excellent for flat water.
Purchased this paddle simply to see the difference between this one and ones that cost twice as much or more. I'm new to kayaking only 4th day in used the more expensive paddle first couple days while waiting for the two day shipping on this one. And have now used this one last couple of days. I bought the 96" to get more reach and it does just that. I'd have to say I wouldn't take this white water kayaking simply for the fact that it uses a single rivet as secondary measures, and the more expensive one doesn't have or need to be riveted, I'm assuming that the only difference in the price is the assembly of how is built, or built to last. But for the price, I'm saying that it's completely worth every penny. For day to day leisure flat water kayaking, but wouldn't trust your life with it in a fast moving rocky river. Not that I know exactly what I'm talking about. Just my personal opinion. Cheers!

Looks nice, but didn't last long.
First time I used it, a quarter of the way into my trip, one of the paddles just snapped. Left me using just the one remaining side for the rest of the trip. That one side held up well, otherwise it would only get one star.

Sturdy and good value
I have a plastic paddle for my paddle board and have used the cheapest paddles I could find for kayaks. Finally decided to get a good one and it makes at the difference. With the more rigid blade I feel like I'm getting more efficient strokes. Plus it is lighter than the cheap ones. Not by much but enough that after a few miles of paddling you definitely notice.

3.5 stars light good looking paddle odd blades
Pros: The paddle is very light and the blue shaft is eye catching compared to the standard black paddles. The grips are fine.Cons: the paddle blades have a weird twist on the top that I have never seen on a kayak blade. If this is intentional then the manufacturer should have more product photos so you know what you are buying. Also the two pieces could have fit together a little more tightly. But at this price point it is acceptable.Overall if you are happy with this blade design then I think this would be a good choice. The looks, light weight, and low price are a great combination.
