Great product, follow instructions to the letter and allow for curing
Don’t quite know how this works but it’s awesome, we have a 10,000 gallon in-ground fiberglass pool. We were loosing about 3” of water per day, if not more, following a process of elimination I checked and renewed all the above ground pipework, fittings and filter, we have a new pump so we knew this was also leak free. Ou pool is set in to a concrete pad so I wasn’t looking forward to breaking the surrounding area to search for a leak, so in a last effort to find a solution and after some research and found this, I have to admit I was skeptical about this actually working, I followed the instruction carefully to the letter, then with some patience to let the product settle and cure for a few days it has worked amazingly. We are on day 5 of hot weather with the pumps running only at night and the water level has not moved at all. Great product.

The Real Deal!
I followed directions to the T and...@#%*! THIS STUFF WORKS!! As a repair tech I'm well familiar with "stop leak" products used in many industries. Some work better than others and exact circumstances can make all hit or miss. I was actually pretty skeptical about the ability of a working solution (punintended) to fix my good ol' 4-person hot tub, the victim of a winter power failure that caused freezing in the water lines. That would be a fatal condition for most tubs, but NOT the hard-won "portable" tub that I vowed I would never try moving again in my lifetime. Not that there's all that much of that remaining, but all the more motivation to bring my beloved "Think Tub" back to life. So, after rebuilding the heater (too old and costly to replace) and replacing the pump, it was with INDESCRIBABLE sadness I discovered the tub was leaking water from points unknown at rate that would make it more suited as a planter. My indefatigable nature--exacerbated by $200 repairs already expended--led me to Fix-a-Leak. Reviews were surprisingly positive, but even if it wasn't snake oil I didn't have much confidence it would work for my potentially sieve-like tub. After some reflection I decided I could spring for another $22 before crying "uncle!" May well have turned out to be the best $22 I've ever spent! It took me 3 months to garner enough courage and emotional fortitude (oh, and time) to carry out the steps required to check the stuff out. Had I opened the bottle immediately I may have been encouraged enough to try sooner, when the weather was more conducive to the company's online "warm weather" instructions. No matter, they provide instructions for freezing weather as well and those are the ones I followed. Admittedly between those instructions and the actual liquid characteristics I was encouraged. It made sense. The solution is viscous enough, and obviously contains particulates, probably rubberized, that, when well-suspended in the tub water, could coagulate at the leak points and, eventually, HOPEFULLY build up to the point of flow stoppage. In my case, THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS DID JUST THAT! After a single treatment using the 1/3 bottle recommended for a hot tub, the leakage appeared to be completely stopped. The manufacturer mentions that without the drying-out period that is infeasible during cold weather I may need to re-apply come Spring. No worries. There are still 2 applications left in my bottle. Maybe I'll be motivated to update this review down the line. For now I have no compunction about giving this product my unreserved recommendation for pools and hot tubs. I'm a believer!

Stopped leak
Amazing stuff I didn’t think it would work. I had a small to medium leak wasn’t sure exactly where but this product worked perfectly it’s been 4 months and no leak.

Slowed my leak
Was hopeful for this item to work so I didn’t have to cut out more pvc under my hot tub. After 2 doses, slowed my leak from a steady drip to a slow every few seconds drip. So it was an improvement, just not sealed.

Enzymes might dissolve this product!
Do not use with Pool or Spa "Enzymes". Their product stopped my leaks for a week. Great! After I had stabilized the water chemistry, I added my enzyme product. One day later, the leaks were back. After draining, cleaning and refilling, I used this product and all leaks stopped immediately. I have stabilized the water and only use chitosan as a clarifier. No leaks at all. There are many enzyme products - I recommended caution if using them with "Fix A Leak". My experience (twice), your mileage may vary.

worked on my 12 year old hot tub
awesome product. My 12 year old 6 person hot tub was loosing 5 - 6 inches of water per week. I did some searches and this product popped up I fugured nothing to lose I was doubtful of the outcome since I could not follow the directions to the letter. There is no way to turn the tub on for 24 hours straight it was just a matter of restarting the 20 minute cycles. Make a long story short I used the full bottle had the tub running as much as possible for 2 days used a broom to stir the product back into the water. I then shut the tub for 2 days it didn't lose any water. I drained it cleaned it refilled it and now 3 weeks later it hasn't lost any water

Not working for me
It stopped the leak of a 1"/day of my spa, but the leak opens again once I installed the filter back. I used about 5 bottles hopping it would hold without success.

This STUFF Works!
OMG Amazing! Bought $15K Hot Tub, 2 years later it started to leak. Hot Tub Repair Guy said: “Start with 12 Oz of this “Fix a Leak” Liquid, and then see where we go from there”! Amazingly, 24 hours later problem solved. No more leak (am writing this review 1 month since the resolve…still holding strong!)
