Review: No adapter - resolved - It's a very pretty light fixture, but I have no idea how well it works because there is no adapter in the box. I immediately contacted the seller and will edit this review when and if I can actually get power to the light fixture. Edit: The seller replied the same day and is shipping me an adapter with no additional cost or hassle. I will edit again when it arrives, hopefully to review the how well or poor the fixture operates. Edit: The adapter was delivered as promised, and the light was pleasantly surprising. It is much brighter than I expected. The timers, including the 24 hour simulation, work great. I am having no issues with excess heat from the power supply like some others have reported. This is a great fixture, and even better when considering the price tag as compared with similar aquarium lights with timers. I look forward to seeing my plants thrive. One year update: I had it set on the daylight simulation mode for a year. The bad thing about that is I stopped paying attention to its operation. I started to get horrible algae problems, then finally realized that the simulation mode is malfunctioning. The orange light from 6 am to 8 am is more often bright white light instead, and only sometimes the milder, less intensive orange. The bright white light stays on until 8 pm, at which point it turns blue until the end of the cycle. That's 14 hours of bright white light, which is 4 hours too many. I cannot adjust any of it in the simulation mode, so I'm now trying to decide if I want to put the light on a timer, but if I do so many of the nice features of the light, like the orange in the morning, the changing intensity during the day, and the blue at night, will be useless. My advice - Do not set it and forget it. If you use the simulation mode make sure you pay attention, or you're liable to get bad algae issues and stressed fish.
Review: Best Light and Customer Service Ever! - December 2023: My Hygger Light failed, but Hygger jumped right in and made it right! My light failed a couple of months after putting it into service. I contacted Hygger through desertcart and I very quickly got a response directly from Hygger. Within about a 2 week period I have a new fixture in hand and without having to repack the bad fixture and send it back. Hygger’s only requested that I send a short video failed fixture. Seemed just a little strange when the fixture would not light, but I did as asked and with the light plugged in I went through the process of multiple presses on each button to show function failure. I sent this in and very quickly sent a new fixture. I had previously owned another brand that only made it through about a year, but never came close to the superior illumination from the Hygger fixture. I only used the 24/7 function will allowed me to schedule a Sunrise and Sunset process to create a more real life environment for my critters. For me, this Hygger light fixture is the best illumination and the best Customer Service. Previous Post: Yep, this has to be the best light I have ever owned for an aquarium. Pro: Illumination is outstanding and does a great job lighting the tank front to rear and sided to side on my 53 Gal. Corner Tank. Pro: Seems to be excellent for growing plants, but I do add a cap full of fertilizer every other month. Pro: Fish and plant colors are also great. Con: Working with the timer to set up light cycles as if it were a real solar day is a little challenging. Con: Once the solar cycle has been set to where I want it, there is no battery backup for power outages and I have to start over with getting up early in the morning to reset. Not Me: Having options of choosing different color spectrums like just red or blue or green is not a part of my world and has no value. If I had a restaurant or bar, then these might be decorative. Now I would still have to reset again to make sure the plants and fish have the proper lighting to stay healthy until the next night.

**Q: What are the actual measurements for the light only on 14w?**
A: The light strips without the bars is 10 1/2 wide and 4 1/2 deep.

**Q: Can you use this for bearded dragons?**
A: No this light won’t be good for a Bearded Dragon. A Bearded Dragon requires a UVB light.

**Q: What happened to the 36-42 light**
A: I am sorry that this model is currently out of stock, please wait patiently. As the port of Los Angeles is blocked, the logistics timeliness will be slower. It is expected to arrive at the end of November at the earliest and December at the slowest. Please be patient, thank you.

**Q: Does anyone know the PAR of this?**
A: I have the "14W" light on a nano saltwater reef tank. I mounted it just on top of my tank, about 3 inches from the surface of the water and it measured around 100 PAR a few inches below the surface on full bright. Near the bottom of my tank, which is 10 inches deep, I measured around 60 PAR. I put the 14W in parentheses as the power supply clearly states 12W, not 14. Of note, my 8 gallon reef tank is full of thriving corals, all of which are suitable for ~75-150 PAR.

Great light - love the 24/7 auto on/off function that changes colors to replicate the sunrise, peak brightness thru the day, then darkening towards sundown and eventually powering off. The multiple color options serve me no function, but are unique to the LED options. Probably more useful is the brightness control for use with fish, reptiles, or plants.
