Question 1

New to sushi making...reluctant to buy a 50 pack...once the package is open how long do sheets keep? How do you store once package opened?

Accepted Answer

Don't be reluctant to buy the 50 pack to take advantage of the great price. It comes with its own zip lock bag and 1 Silica Gel Desiccant Pack to keep moisture at a minimum after opening. The real secret is to push as much air out of the bag as you are zip locking it shut after removing sheets. I go over the zip lock a second time to make sure I haven't missed any small gaps. I also take out ten Nori Sheets at a time and place them in an air tight glass container with a locking lid and insert 1 Silica Gel Desiccant Packet. So I only open the original packet 5 times. You can buy these silica desiccant packets here on Amazon. Please note to only purchase those packets that are FDA approved for use with food storage. Hope this answer contributes to you saving money and enjoying using the Raw Organic Nori Sheets in your sushi making.

Question 2

are these RAW nori difficult to eat as they may be CHEWY? if so, how does one toast it n still reserve the nutrients (easier to eat when it is crisp)

Accepted Answer

The Nori is not wet, damp, or chewy. It has been thoroughly dried and will break apart if bent just like a toasted sheet would. It is advisable to store the packaged sealed to keep the freshness. - each pack of 50 sheets comes in a zipper sealable package. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Accepted Answer

The Nori is certified Organic by EcoCert, they have very high standards. We also test every batch of Nori at an independent lab in the USA for contaminants, and radiation to double check.
