Good buy but cook be a bit better
I got this pot because of the strainer lid and the size. For those two aspects it is great. It fits in my camping kit between the classic Coleman enamelware camp pot and my jet boil pot. It is way more robust and easier to clean than the Jetboil but not as much as the Coleman. As others have stated it cant be used over an actual fire because of the rubber bits. I dont downgrade it for that, but the ridge like texture on the bottom collects soot like no other. I've used it twice so far, once on my Coleman stove and once over a small propane fire pit. Even on the Coleman the flames were enough to burn the rubber side handles to useless. It gets hot pretty quickly and doesnt retain heat once off the fire so I like that I can touch it and pack it without waiting. It is light weight, but not stupid light. I got the scraper from GSI and it cleaned up pretty well. A trip through the dishwasher when I get home makes it pretty clean except for soot in the ridges. A scrubber and some Comet take care of that. I think I like the Coleman better as a do it all pot but this is a little larger and having the strainer holes is super convenient. I would buy again but it is a little spendy for what it is. So down half start for price and down half star for easy to clean on the outside.

Love the GSI Halulite series
Love the GSI Halulite series! Our favorite camp cookware! We use it for backpacking with our scout unit. We are able to heat up lots of hot water quickly for all those dehydrated meals. We are not ultralight backpackers, but we do like that our stoves and various other kitchen supplies fit inside our "kit" and the mesh keeps it all contained. The built in silicone handles are an added bonus, since it never fails that scouts lose the detachable kind of pot grippers. All the GSI halulite pots do nest even with the folding handles. Word of advice, make sure to pull the handles up before cooking. They are a bit "stiff" and you don't want to be man handling it once it's hot or on top of a little backpacking stove. We use a windscreen when using this size pot to maximize the heat to boil water quickly using as little fuel as possible. We don't really use the pot for cooking, just water prep, at least not yet, so I can't really review heat distribution, stick/non-stick, clean up properties. Halulite is light and sturdy and we are very happy with these pots. Bit pricey, but the scouts and leaders appreciate the space and weight these pots do not take up in our packs. My family uses Halulite minimalist for personal gear as well and it has held up awesome for the last 5 years being banged around inside teenagers' packs.

My wife said "buy the good one" and I am glad I did.
This pot is perfect. We just got home from a week long bike trip with our 2 teen boys and cooked all of our meals in this pot. The circular grooves on the bottom keep the pot from slipping on the stove (MSR pocket rocket). The size is great for a meal for the family. The handles are very heat resistant. The rubber grippers on the lid make it easy to drain excess water out the strainer holes. I think GSI thought of everything. This pot and my GSI Dualist mess kit are what we hauled for all 4 of us. GSI is quickly becoming my favorite for camping cookware. Well thought out and well made. Well worth the slightly higher cost.

Quick and easy to use!
Used this pot last weekend for camping. It’s really great, the only improvement they could make is the handles actually clicking in to “lock in”. There were a few times I grabbed it off the fire and the handles buckled on me. Other than that it was perfect!

Solid pot for backcountry cooking.
I've actually really enjoyed this pot and have used it several times now with the MSR Whisperlite model backpacking stove. This pot is study and seems to resist any dents and dings. It transfers heat well and has a couple of great handles to keep yourself from getting burned without packing in an additional pot holder. You must be careful to extend the handles every time you use this product or you might melt them (although I have not yet). Finally, the GSI Halite 3.2 Liter Cook Pot comes in a great carrying bag. I've really enjoyed this pot.

Great little pot
We used this on a coleman two burner stove while camping in Yellowstone. it worked well on the stove however we had to make sure the handles were out before cooking and that they weren't hanging over the other burner they get warm. It is small but there is only two of us so it worked for our needs. The strainer part worked awesome. It was also very easy to clean. Overall enjoyed this product.
