2M Blue Moving Magnet Cartridge

I upgraded from the 2M Blue and, like others, am amazed at the difference in clarity, detail and soundstage. I have not experienced any of the issues some have mentioned. Due to the increased detail it is important to clean the LPs before playing. I use a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine I have had for years, but even using a handheld vinyl brush properly should work. In short I am glad I made the right choice and upgraded!

It's basically a 2M Red. I personally would skip this and go for the Blue or Better Still 2M Bronze is fantastic.

mein 40 Jahre alter Pioneer PL300-X hatte Kontakt mit einem 6 Jaehrigen Forscher und dann war der Tonabnehmer abgebrochen und Ersatz gabs nicht mehr. Hab mich fuer den Ortofon Silber entschieden. Einbau war einfach, auf Schablonen, Winkelmesser und so hab ich verzichtet, weil beim PL-300X gabs sowieso nichts auszurichten. Gewicht neu justiert - muss sein weil alt und neu anders wiegen. Erste Hoertests: Besser als der alte Tonabnehmer je war. Linda Ronstadt und Nelson Riddle jedenfalls ohne stoerende Verzerrungen, klar und dynamisch. Fazit: Fuer 140 Eur einen uralten Plattenspieler wieder zum Leben erweckt und bin jetzt wieder am abHoeren / das Spass macht.

ずっとMMカートリッジを使ってきて、今度はMCに行こうと思ってましたが、このオルトフォンのMM最高峰の謳い文句が気になり、価格も下手なMCよりもかなり高いのですが、使っているフォノイコライザーがMM専用でMCを使うには別に昇圧トランスが必要となり、熟考の結果最後のMMとして2Mブラックを購入致しました。最近ではこの上に2MブラックLVB250と云う、ベートーベン生誕250周年記念モデルが有るが、スタイラスは同じシバタ針で、カンチレバーがオリジナルはアルミニウム、LVB250はボロン、他。依り高級な仕上げ。だが、MMの強みのスタイラス交換で簡単にアップグレードも出来、将来的にも楽しみが有ります。ブラックの前に使っていたカートリッジも国産有名メーカーのシバタ針仕様でしたが、ブラックは一聴して今まで聞いた事の無いサウンドを部屋中に展開してみせました。サウンドエリアが広大で、中域が濃く、ピンポイントに音像が現れ、まるで手を伸ばせば触れることが出来るようなリアリティ感。力強く、克つしなやかな繊細さ。このカートリッジはMM、MCの評価を越えています。ＬＶＢにアップグレードすると？ コロナの影響か、ネットで調べても在庫を持っているショップが余り無いのが玉に瑕ですが、カートリッジ購入をお考えの方、一考になればと願います🙇

For the money a no brainer. Not the same as 2M red. This one has ofc silver coils. Highs are clearer and sound is little more analytical and less warm. Combined with my 2M blue needle super detailed and wider soundstage.
