Redi-Roll Hardware Cloth, 1/8 x 48" x 10'

Like other 'g-words' floating around now, 'galvanized' is getting some fairly loose usage. Both "galvanizing" and zinc plating use zinc as a sacrifice metal to prevent corrosion, that is also where the similarity ends. Plating makes everything look nice and shiny until you get it home and use it. The plating is just a couple of molecules thick and very cheaply done.Not only was this product not "galvanized" as advertised, it was so terribly twisted that trying to cut anything resembling a straight line would look ridiculous as a result. No wonder it is advertised with a sketch rather than a picture... I purchased this product after running out of my previous supply which was graph paper straight and coated with thick, hot-dipped galvanizing. As long as we tolerate shoddy imitations, that's what we, as consumers, will continue to get.Mine is going back and I will look until I find the genuine article...

I purchased this hardware cloth to close up some existing holes in previously installed screen behind my attic louvre vents. Some friendly squirrels decided to take up residence in my attic. I installed this product to prevent future pest intrusionThe cloth is light duty, both in the thickness of the screen and the galvanizing. I am left wondering if this will be sturdy enough to repel a determined rodent from entering my attic in the future.This is the bare minimum for sturdiness and which why I rated it a 3. Again, unimpressed with the thickness and galvanized coating.

Screen was manufactured in a skewed position. Played Hell cutting it. Had to make a pattern to get cuts square. Couldn't use the mesh as a cutting guide.OK for the price and OK for what it is being used for.

This mesh worked well for my purpose of making screened bottom boards. The only problem I have with it is the wires don't run straight. So I found that squareing the end before use makes for a cleaner finished product. I will buy this again when the need arises. I got enough wire from this roll to make 18 bottom boards.

Worked well for what we needed but as others have said there is nothing straight about it. If you need the sides to be straight, plan on being patient and straighten it before starting the process.

This is exactly what I needed to make my screened bottom boards for my bee hives. It is a little hard to work with, especially if you want everything to be square, but it does the job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to make bottom boards for their beehives.

This project is difficult to find in smaller quantities. It arrived quickly exactly as described.

Not much to write about hardware cloth other than this is great quality. All welds are solid. It's perfect for our beehives that we needed it for. The roll is huge and it came packaged well. Definitely pleased with this purchase. I've bought it twice now and will buy it again. It's hard to find this size in my area so I'm glad to have it on amazon and as part of prime. Great deal!
