Q: roller ball has stopped working?

When my rollerball starts to feel like it’s sticking or sluggish (rarely) I turn it to off and roll the ball part firmly on my hand and sometimes shake it a little. I have also cleaned it with alcohol with good results. I dried it after cleaning by rolling it around.

Q: Will it work with my chromebook that has usb?

I have had a couple of these hand held USB mice. They typically last a couple years.

Q: the track ball come out to clean it. my others do.

if your mouse gets sluggish in responding, and the battery is good, try CLEANING THE INSIDE. to do this, place a pen point in that tiny hole to the left of the green ball and turn the black ring around the ball slightly counterclockwise to unlock it. then use a pin to pry the ring off and the ball will come right out, clean those 3 tiny rollers inside CAREFULLY (a pin works well for this and a cotton swab) and make sure there is no debris in the center whole on the lens. this USUALLY solves all problems and should only be necessary a few times a year depending how much you use it. to replace the ring just turn it clockwise after you put it in place to relock it.

Q: Can I connect this mouse to another receiver?

I am afraid this mouse can't connect another receiver. Each receiver has to be used for its own mouse. Hope it is helpful to you.
