PLESIU Stringvision Bowgrip. for Violin, Viola and Cello.

Unlike the Wada puffy grip, this grip adds “grip”, grin but not much added size. A place for your thumb and really helped me relax the grip while the soft material helps my control without tightening my hand or fingers.Having arthritis in my bow hand, this addition to both of my bows really made an immediate difference.Anyone need a Wada grip. The Wada is nicely made also but adds size which did not work as well for me.

Now that I have arthritis in my hands, I sometimes drop the bow. This helps my grip it more securely, and feels more comfortable. They wear out after about a year, so I bought several.

I LOVE this and I now refuse to play on any bows that don’t have this. The ONLY issue is that it wears out after a few months, and holes start appearing after just a few weeks. So if you love it as much as I do, be prepared to order this every few months like I do haha.

Don't let the lowest price for this type of product and bare bones-even skimpy-look. IT WORKS.I have bow hand pain problems for years..guess i am not relaxed enough. Asked a cellist who works/performs all the time including orchestras...she does not have the problem but asked around among musicians...this has become the go to bow frog adapter for bow hand pain among real musicians. I concur.

Fits well on my cello bow. Snug to put on the first time but doesn’t move around. As a cello student, it helps me keep my thumb in the right position and prevents hand soreness and fatigue. I’ll buy another if this one wears out.

I'm writing this review to reassure potential buyers that the Stringvision Bowgrip does indeed work perfectly well for cello, contrary to what a couple of reviewers have written. It would be a shame if people were discouraged by those negative comments, since the product itself is fabulous. A very different experience with the bow! Use it a while and then bow without it and you wonder why fiddlers/violinists/cellists haven't revolted earlier against the discomfort of the traditional bow after 400 years....To the negative comments. A couple of reviewers have complained that it is hard to fit onto the bow. True, it takes a few minutes, but it's a one-time thing. (You do not want to buy it if you for some reason need to remove it and re-install it repeatedly.) There are tips about using talcum powder or corn starch to let it glide more easily (see other comments). I have never done that -- if you are just patient, it should go on fine.Another reviewer strangely complained that the indentation on the grip forces you to hold your thumb "between the wood and the hairs." Exactly! That's the point -- that's where you want your thumb, and yet the design of the bow means it's not comfortable to hold the bow there. The Stringvision grip puts your thumb where it's supposed to be, but cushions it from the sharp metal of the frog.I've played cello for nearly 40 years. I've played daily with my Stringvision grip for six months now. It's the best $14-15 I've spent on any musical accessory.

Does wear out after several months of consistent use and gets holes. Once removed when worn out you can’t put it back on. Good minimal cost investment for your grip, hand and frog but you will need extras for replacement or after string change. Overall the best bow grip for relaxed comfort and for your thumb.
