I have been wanted a bracelet mandrel but the metal ones were always outside of my budget. This wood mandrel works perfectly. Heavy enough to get the job done and the price was great.

They sell these in round shape too. But wrists are more oval than round. So it's important to make sure that you choose the right shape for your vision. So far, so good. My only issue is The taper on the mandrel Could be a little more subtle as with most mandrels Whatever you are hammering or wrapping around can be slightly uneven.

I'm consistently using the largest part of this form so most of it is wasted. More a word of caution than a complaint as their dimensions are accurate. Just make sure of your need before purchasing and make sue this will fit the wrists you'll be working with. The wood is of sufficient density as it barley dents when being hammered.

The oval shape (mimicking the wrist's shape) is key. My aluminum bracelets get bent of shape when I have to take them off for my profession, etc. This mandrel and the jewelry hammer get the kicks out and the bracelet back into shape. Should have bought this years sooner.

I love this mandrel. I have used this so many times to reshape bracelets that have been dented, damaged or bent. You do need to use a rubber mallet and start with a light touch based on the density of your material so it is important you know how to use it correctly. This is an item that will last a lifetime.

This mandrel is perfect for wire work bracelet making. It doesn't have measurements marked on it, but that wasn't a big thing for me. Easy enough to write them in with a sharpie. Perfect addition to my jewelry making tools.

This mandrel is fine, very light weight and not sturdy to form around. It works but even my Nylon Hammers leave dings and scars in this mandrel...guessing it won't last long. Too bad this is one of the only options for a Wood Oval Mandrel.

This is a great size for making bracelets for anyone. If you use a marker to mark spots along its length, you can make custom bracelets for specific people. The surface is smooth with no irregularities to catch your fingers or your materials.

Should have heeded reviews pointing to this problem. Totally useless for what I wanted to do. Please fix the title of the product to reflect that it's round NOT oval.
