Plantronics M55 Bluetooth Headset with car Charger

The unit itself is great as the reviews I checked reported. Great performance at a good price. I went 4 instead of 5 stars because of the lousy earpiece. It is one size fits all and that is a mistake. It didn't fit and kept falling loose. So I boughtRadians custom molded earplugs, blue taped the ear bud, buried it in the earplug while it was setting up in my ear and let itset. Removed from ear, removed bluetooth/bud, removed tape. Drilled hole from ear canal portion to bud location. And WOW,does it work!! I love it. No wires. Works fabulous. I leave it embedded in the silicon earplug. It is easy to remove and placeback into my ear. It stays put and I forget it is there. The Radians kit was only $10. There are sites that will make an ear moldsimilar and they charge $80. Forget that !!!!!

Great sound, only thing is the option to choose whether to answer or ignore incoming call stopped working after a few weeks. Other than that, it is a great little blue tooth. Will keep it as everyone says they can hear me very clearly and I also get clear reception. Very light weight and stays in the ear, for me anyway.

M55 is a great Plantronics blue tooth. Arrived in a timely manner.

Absolutely love it! Much better than the first one I ordered. Fits my ear very comfortably and never feels like it's going to fall out.

The plastic ear loop broke which basically makes the set useless. When it worked, it was fine...except it is easy to push the wrong button and make it on mute instead of disconnect. HOWEVER... the quality of the sound was very good and the ease of use and lightness on the ear compared to some others.... just be careful when wrapping the somewhat fragile plastic loop around the ear....

I am not a handy person when it comes to electronics and this bluetooth was so easy to connect to my phone....I got to do it all by myself. I have had a hard time hearing with my other bluetooth, but not with this one. And the price is so affordable it is amazing.I received the shipment before to expected date. Can't say enough about this item....LOVE IT!!!!

This bluetooth headset enables me to accept a call using my phone, and then, whilst I am talking to the caller, I can switch this headset on with the easy-to-use slider, it automatically pairs with my phone whilst I am placing it on my ear, and in 1/2 sec or so the call automatically moves across to my headset. Awesome! I am not a taxi driver or sales person; I just wanted to be able to speak to someone for 1/2hour without having to hold the phone to my ear, and being able to have my hands free. I considered this against the wire earphones that have a built-in microphone, but I already have two sets of earphones and I didn't want to carry another set around with me. I might even get out the wrong set when someone calls. This headset fits into my top pocket and when a call comes in there is no risk of cables tangling as I get the headset out, switch it on and put it in my ear. No fiddly having to plug it in, put buds in ears and apologise for missing any of what the caller just said.

The first problem I had with the headset was the voice control didn't work at all. I had a replacement from plantronics and now the voice control works sometimes. It responds to ignore very easily but 'answer' it doesn't seem to respond without repeating answer several times and in several different ways. This is disappointing.Talk time is fantastic at 11 hours.I bought the headset to make using waze easier. The spoken instructions via the in built phone speaker were virtually impossible to hear due to their standard voices being mumblers and the iphone being too quiet. Via a bluetooth headset they are fully understandable.Call quality with the headset is much better than with my old one. Callers don't say 'you sound weird'. Other people sound fine. Not fantastic and they can be a little buzzy at times, especially if you use any of the louder settings. Also in ear placement does seem to make a slight difference with that so experiment.The best feature of the headset is that you can hold the home button and activate Siri which I couldn't do with my last one. For the £20 odd I paid for it is worth it just for the long battery life. Most headsets have 7 hours talk time or so and this has 11 and several months of standby in deep sleep mode. Standby is 2 weeks while connected but with the battery display appearing on the phone you don't run out of juice. Charging doesn't seem to take long either. The headset also comes with an in car adapter so you can charge in the car as well as from a normal usb socket.If the voice control worked properly and the sound quality was a little better this would be a 5 star one.

Turns out I bought this in November 2012...I just found this headset in a draw, unused for at least 2 years, maybe even up to 3 years, and just placed it my ear, switched it on; apparently I have 6 hours of battery left! Still!Was just about to buy another thinking this would be dead... Very impressed at the moment!I used this previously so I could listen to music and hear messages on a budget, whilst on my motorbike, and it did that well! Calls were a no go as the soundproofing in the helmet was good.The only thing I can say as a negative at the moment is I just tried voice recording to see how clear my voice was, and there's ~0.5 seconds of silence followed by a "click" where the microphone wakes up to listen before my voice was transmitted, and it took up to 1 second after that for my voice to be completely free from distortions. But putting that aside, the voice was clear from then on (in a quiet room with no external sounds though)

This device looks well built and although it has only one ear-loop it stays firmly in the ear.The battery lasts long. You wouldn't need to charge it for weeks (depending of usage of course).It can whisper you battery level and everything, that is promised in its specification.The bad part is that due to the specific design, sometimes it re-dials the last number called. By design two taps redial the last number and unfortunately that happens accidentally too. Also when in a call if you touch the device chances are you will press the call button (it presses so easily) this way ending the call. Maybe this isOK with some people but for me this is an issue.I have also a Jawbone Icon (that is similar to Blueant) and somehow I expected that M55 will do similarity in noise environment which it did not. I was listening to someone talking over M55 in very noisy place and I had to ask them to repeat several times. We could hardly make a conversation. Poor noise reduction system.Design is a matter of taste. Bought this to replace my venerable old M20 which got lost somewhere, as these kind of things tend to do. I'm very pleased with this new model. It interfaces much better with my phone, tells me how much time is left on the battery, has excellent call quality, works for phone audio as well as calls and stays in my (not insignificantly sized) ear without the hook attachment without either falling out or feeling like it's going to. It's inconspicuous so it doesn't make you look too much like a long distance lorry driver and one charge lasts a very long time it doesn't matter if you forget to plug it in for a few days. Overall, considering what you can pay for some models of earpiece, I wonder why you'd ever need to spend more than this.
