For this price, it's the best.
I've already soldered wires with this iron twice, and the results are excellent. The kit includes everything you need: tin, solder, and replacement tips. It's great that it has adjustable temperature—no need to worry about overheating the wires. It heats up very quickly—literally 20 seconds and the iron is ready to use. It also cools down quickly. You don't have to unplug it to take a break—there's a power button. I'm very happy with it, and I hope it lasts a long time.

Great for PCB repair.
The iron worked perfectly right out of the box. It was easy to set the temperature. I replaced several electrolytics and a couple of IC's with no problem. It got hot enough to melt the pins with heavy ground pads. Easy to hold. I had it powered on for at least an hour while doing repairs and the handle stayed cool. For $10 you can't ask for any better. Well worth the money for me.

Nice Soldering Iron Kit
I just used this digital soldering iron to swap out a set of pickups and full set of tone/volume pots on an ES-335 style electric guitar. I used a setting of 500 deg F with 60/40 tin/lead resin core solder (0.8mm) and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the terminal connections melted and flowed, and solder ground patches on the sides of the pots firmly affixed ground leads, all with nice silvery appearance. This soldering iron works a LOT better than the older digital iron I was using, I assume the ceramic core was wearing out. The price on this soldering iron made this a very economical choice for replacement. I have been soldering the electronics of guitars for about 50 years, so when I say this is a good iron, I've got years of other irons to compare it to.

Works great if you know what youre doing.
I'm an idiot for burning out the first tip because I didn't tin the tip. BUT HEY. This thing is great if you know what youre doing. Keep the temps low (around 190) and you should be fine. As long as you keep the tip tinned and use it right then you will be fine! Only gripe is that the nut holding the tip apparatus can come loose when the iron heats up... but for the price.... baby its worth it.

not for heavy use
The Soldering Iron Kit, 80W 110V with the LCD digital display, works fine for basic jobs and small repairs. It heats up quickly, and the temperature readout is handy when you want a little more control. The ceramic heater does its job, and the pen is light enough to move around easily. That said, the overall build quality feels a bit low. The handle and buttons aren’t the most solid, and the tips wear out faster than I expected. It still gets the job done, but it’s better suited for casual use rather than long sessions or heavy projects.

Great starter kit!
Great Kit! This was my first experience soldering, and with some extras like helping hands, it was enjoyable soldering. Just plug it in and it does heat up fast. Just don’t ruin the tips.
