FOINNEXVGA to HDMI Cable 10M, Old PC to New TV/Monitor, Adapter Cord with Audio for Laptop to Projector

Great convertor/cable and does exactly what it claims too, basically converts a VGA analogue signal to digital via HDMI, the USB provides power and 3.5mm jack supplies the audio, the audio & USB cables convieniently split off the VGA connector. The HDMI cables roughly measures 1.8m, the audio & USB roughly measure around 12 inces off the main cable and all have gold connectors. I use it to stream NFL games off my laptop and connect it to my large 52" plasma TV and it works fine. Supports up to 1080 HD. Remember this is a VGA - HDMI convertor only and is not backward compatible. You need to know exacly what you want to use it for before buying, if you want HDMI to VGA you'll need a different cable. Can't fault it!!

Very nice product. Plug in, switch on, it works. Nice to have the option on this unit to send the audio up the HDMI cable so the TV can play the sound without any extra connectors. If you'd rather have the sound coming out of the laptop or going into headphones - that's no problem either, just leave the dongle's audio cable unconnected. Plenty of cable on the audio and USB connector too, they haven't skimped. Super-impressed with the picture as well, flawlessly displayed on my 4K LG OLED TV. Really wanted this product so we can view family on the Skype screen via the big TV screen instead of just on the laptop, this is perfect for lockdown meetings!

This is a shame that I am writing a negative review, as I had thought I had cracked the problem of using a 32inch TV as a monitor with a VGA output. It worked fine until today (with a great picture also) which is just over 5 weeks and now it just won't work. I know it is not the output as I can use my old smaller TV as a monitor just fine. Another inconvenience that I need to faff about returning before I get a refund. To be honest it is not the most robust in terms of the build quality, the srews on the VGA side feel like flimsy plastic, but one it is in you won't need to keep using that so should not be an issue, however for it to just stop working after just over a month is not acceptable, even if it is only £13.99, at this time I can't afford to loose any money so it will be going back for a refund.

Not really into writing reviews too much, but quick comment that this is an excellent product. I have a DELL which 360 and a monitor that is HDMI and blue D-PIN (VGA) The blue D-PIN (VGA) stopped working, so I bought this to see if it would work and it worked. I read the review by someone who explained it quite well, He sounded convince and now I am convince. So I can keep my DELL and my 32 inch Panasonic TV that I use as a monitor. If you looking for the same solution then take this one its good.

It works as advertised (don’t forget to connect the USB cable at the HDMI end to a power source). However it does some sort of scaling so the output of my VGA computer is cropped which is not ideal in text / console mode. Also there is a delay of a few seconds until my monitor picks up the signal so, if for instance you have to enter bios / boot menu by pressing a key, you might miss the moment to press it because of this delay.All of the above however could be monitor specific. With my Eizo I had to spend (significantly) more on an alternative solution. If you can live with the issues above this is a very affordable solution and it works well.
