Just loving this weather station! Highly recommend it. Gave it 5* despite the fact that it's not 100% accurate, like all the clocks in our house, each one differs by a minute or two. But in direct opposition to the 1st writer, as a professional meteorologist, I have LaCrosse Tech as my home stations - and then test everything else on the market against the LaCrosse Tech standard. No one else measures up & some things sold on Amazon as "professional weather stations" are such jokes (incapable of data transmission on 24 hr basis, inconsistency of data, a variance in temperature readings of over +/- 4° DAILY, +/- 12 mph wind, giggling hysterically on the subject of "precipitation measurement," and their support is dead silence). Alkalines will freeze, rechargables start at a max of 1.4 v and drop to 1.2 v fairly quickly and do not like extreme cold. They do not work in Iowa winter. All my external sensors use AA Ultimate Lithiums and last the entire winter, even at -15 below zero F. I change them out every Fall. **Q: Why doesn’t outside temp register? Inside temp is working I also put in brand new batteries** A: Check that your batteries are charged to 1.5. If you don't have a way (voltage meter) to check, try brand new batteries that are new off the store shelf. For the sync-up process, the batteries must be 1.5 or better. Beautiful bold display. Not very bright though and little difficult to read if it is not approximately at your eye level. But I am loving it. Accurate sensors. Simple no frills setup and it does what is supposed to do very well - read temperature, humidity, air pressure and forecast the short term weather! The trend arrows and weather improving / worsening indicator arrows are super useful as well! I have hung it near my key holder so that I can read the weather before stepping out of the house everytime.
