how do you heat set your project?

Dear Juanita, Thank you for your inquiry. For best results, use a blend of 50% GAC900 & 50% Golden Fluid or Heavy Body Acrylic paint. To increase transparency or change viscosity, replace a portion of the paint with a Golden Gel or Medium. Apply as desired, but avoid thick applications. Allow to completely dry, & then Heat-set as follows: Iron 3-5 minutes on medium heat; Commercial oven or heat press 1-2 minutes at 300 degrees fahrenheit/150 degrees celsius; clothes drier 30-40 minutes on high. How do i use this product

It is used to add to paints to make them iron on for fabrics. So when you hear set regular even cheap acrylics it will set the paint. I will paint on shirts and or jeans and add it to the paints then hear set. Permanent paint on fabrics. Golden on their site has all the info on using their products. Hope that helps.

I don't see why not. If they are leather or something other than canvas type I would probably paint them first with gesso, but as far as a canvas shoes it should be perfect.

this stuff is great! It takes all of the guests work out of mixing up paint for fabric so in my opinion is totally worth the money. I painted the jacket I'm showing here at least six years ago now and I've washed it tons of times. Still holding up great! (a little bit of cracking on the moon part of the design because I painted and repainted that spot a bunch of times so the paint's thicker than it should be) I generally mix half-and-half with cheap acrylic paint for fine line work. I add more if I want a batter paint or get a "watercolor look."
