I like this brush a lot. I find myself reaching for it more than my Chris Christensen coral slicker. Pins are softer and more flexible, my poodle seems to not mind this one as much. Good size, nice curve, comfortable handle, and works well to get the tangles out.

cliff notes: buy this to get the floof before your vacuum does, from a thick haired mutt (shepherd/husky/lab mix that we know of) up to this point i've been using the safari slicker - and my pup tolerated it for a little bit but with all the other brushes i struggle with his floof - they never seem to get all the undercoat or shedded fur & he seems irritated by the bristles. i got this to try instead of the $70 popular brand and OH MY GOSH does it get hair! it's gentle bristles feel fine on my skin & my dog relaxed and rolled over while i was brushing him. 8 times i emptied it of heavy floof/undercoat in the first brushing - he was so happy! even his chonky neck floof was easy to brush. it was easy to empty too. the old brushes don't get the undercoat like this one - i definitely recommend this for any dog owner!!

I bought this Quadow Tuffer Than Tangles Slicker Brush as a less expensive alternative for the coral brush used by many groomers. My dog is a white Mini Poodle with sparse hair. I keep him on a regular bath-high velocity drying-brush and comb routine so tangles and matting are not really an issue. This Quadow slicker brush has a wonderful light weight and feel to it; it's really nice to pick it up and hold it in my hand. I am fascinated by the long pins and the rounded base. I've found this slicker to be of little use on my pup's coat but there is one thing I really enjoy: I let it sink into the soft, long hair on the top of my dog's head, slowly roll the brush back and watch the hair roll and fluff out in the opposite direction. It's like one of those oddly satisfying videos, making for an oddly satisfying purchase.

This slicker brush works great on my dog's coat. The long, soft pins remove tangles without pulling too much, making grooming easier and more comfortable. It's well made, easy to use, and leaves my dog's fur looking smooth and healthy. Great quality for the price. This is a fourth time purchase I need this brush wherever we go so It has been put on our essential packing list.

My groomer told me about this brush. I must say I’m pleased. My long hair dachshund doesn’t mind at all I easily brush her daily. I research the proper size and bristle for small long hair. The bristles are soft. You will need a bigger brush for like a German shepherd or a Labrador. Gets the hair that’s close to skin. Best brush so far for her. Easy to use. This one for small dogs works well. Not much hair in brush because I brush her daily

I think it works better than you know who’s brush and I used that one for years this one is lighter and more ergonomic I don’t get tired of brushing and is more economical

As soon as i got this brush, i brushed my dog and man oh man he loves it! He sit for a longgggg time till he got tired and lied down. He never sit to get brushed. He always lied down. He does like getting brushed but he has never been as cooperative as he is with this brush. I can tell he loves it because he lets me brush him for so long and doesn't try to stop me from brushing him. He would usually try to leave during his brushing but not this time. I had to let him know we're done. Got lots of hair out of him too.

I have a short haired cat who has a very dense undercoat that has become unmanageable since we moved from Texas to Ohio. That undercoat sheds all year around now, and my regular slicker brush couldn't cope with the volume. This slicker makes short work of the coat that is blowing, and it's also helping to take out the guard hairs that she sheds so freely. Complaints: The curved shape would be better as the traditional "flat" shape for me, though that may simply be what I'm used to. The real problem here is the hard plastic handle. It's not easy to keep hold of even though there are indentations for your fingers and the handle is textured. It still feels to me like it's going to fly out of my hand, and it makes it difficult to brush with the right amount of pressure. Changing this to a silicon handle would make it a five star product in my book.

Excellent for brushing out a doodle, poodle, or other long-coated breeds. Sturdy material, medium-length "long pins" with that little hook design that helps to fluff the coat. Excellent value.

I bought this to keep a Cavapoo I'm looking after in a good state of repair! I hadn't realised how high maintenance their coat can be, but, after a teeny bit of research, plumped for this. It seems to do the job to a satisfactory standard and the little sweetheart doesn't seem to mind it too much. She does have a very poodle-like coat and this brush detangles and re-fluffs her - for a short time, anyway. Would buy again.
