Great replacement for Craftsman Weed Wacker
I bought this to replace the string trimmer on my Craftsman weed wacker. I always had trouble with the string head and they donโt sell a replacement stringer. So I tried this attachment. It works great! It comes with precut strings and you can buy pre cut or cut your own. They are very easy to replace. Much easier than the bump stringer. I would definitely recommend this attachment.

Works well on my Toro powerhead.
I will agree with alot of the other reviews. It is better than the origional Troy built trimmer I had. It fit perfectly with the new Toro power head I have been using for a few years. It has a single piece of trimming line and came with about a dozen extras so I won't be messing with that annoying spool anymore. My last one was a curved shaft which I think I prefer, but this is a reallly good trimmer and does a good job and is well made. I guess my main point is that it works perfectly with a Toro powerhead.

Works, wastes string.
First off, this fit my Troy-Bilt trimmer with changeable attachments perfectly. And as a string trimmer, it works very well. Swapping the cut strings is a breeze and overall it is very easy to use.ย I made a mark on my workbench so that I can cut replacement strings from a bulk reel, so each "string" costs pennies. My only issue with it is that it burns through about 6" of string each time you replace it.

Works Like A Chanp
Attaches perfectly to my Stilh powerhead (Kombi) and works like a champ. Once you've used a fixed line head unit like this, you'll never go back to bump and feed. I don't have grass, so I can't comment on how it works to edge a lawn. However, I'm using it on some pretty heavy duty vegetation including mustard plants, crab grass, and foot-high brittle bush. It's taking them down with minimal effort. Course, I am using a Tim Allen powerhead.I replaced an older unit that also has a fixed line head. The design on the TrimmerPlus unit is a step up from the old one. The cutting line feeds easily through the slots. Every so often you should squirt a little WD-40 in the holes to help keep them clean and the line slides easier. Note: you do not have to use special, pre-cut line, you can buy bulk line and cut it to size. Minor quibble: I wish it could use a heavier cutting line.

Excellent weed trimmer attachment
I bought this for my elderly father who was complaining that the curved shaft of his Troybilt weed trimmer was hurting his back and was hard to get into tight places. He quickly became a happy man when he got this straight extended length attachment. The design and build quality of this product seem to be top notch and in line with the same quality of the weed trimmer. I did however believe that I was purchasing a Troybilt branded product. This is a third party non-OEM attachment. The item description can be a little misleading in this regard. I was at first concerned about this but this extension is very well made and fit like a glove on the Troybilt weed trimmer. It apparently fits many other brands as well so no complaints whatsoever. Another thing that (at least for me) is that the attachment features a cutting head that accepts a single strand of trimming line. I prefer this to the spool feed variety that have always been problematic for me in the past. My father was new to this concept and he quickly became a fan of it. You can save money by buying a whole spool of line and cutting the lengths as you need them as opposed to buying the pre-cut variety. In any case my father was really happy so this was money well spent.

Works great on Ryobi 48 volt cordless setup
I use this on my 48 volt Ryobi cordless setup. While some of these attachments won't say they work with the cordless they do as long as it is the 48 volt with this interchangeable handle. It uses the short heavy duty cords that just are a quick swap out. It is NOT the feeding fishing line style so be aware of that. these are the heavy duty cords that have the loop to swap em in and out. They are heavy duty enough to handle most any heavy weed cutting around and hold up well when running along a foundation etc.For finer trimming along lawns I would not use this as much. This is for heavy duty weed cutting and it does not have the finesse of a smaller fishing line style. If you dip the head to much...whammo..big spot of missing lawn. So I also use a smaller line feed trimmer for the lawn. This is for the tall weeds and small oak and maple saplings that sprout up every year.

YES! I really does cut down saplings!!!!
We have had this for a year, and it has been used and abused. We needed to clear our hillside--it was lost in blackberries, wild roses, bread and butter vines, and TONS of Poison Ivy. About....100 feet by 30 feet on a wicked incline. We have hand cleared the hillside 3 times in 13 years--by hand. It took weeks to do. This time we looked into goat rentals--but we have a crazy rescue dog. We visited SO many tool rental shops and landscaping equipment stores looking for a brush clearer that could work on our steep hillside. We bough the trimmer and Spouse was very impressed with the power, so we invested in this attachment. Once on, this becomes a tool of plant death! Spouse and I cleared the entire hillside in about a day!!!!! We had to MASSIVE truckloads of brush and saplings we brought to the dump.YES! We cut down over a dozen 1-4" saplings with this guy. Previously we would drag the sawzall and an extension cord down the hillside. This is NOT a toy--and you MUST wear eye protection. NO joke. And long pants--you will get ripped to shreds with the flying debris if you are cutting thorny vines. Honestly, for me at 5'2" this machine is too powerful for me to use--Im too short to keep it at the correct height, and it is SO heavy that using a saw blade is jsut foolish. Which is awful since I truly enjoy destroying the crap invading my property. For Spouse this is a dream, he walks along the bottom of the hill and sweeps the machine over the new growth, and our property is maintenance free.It is worth every penny!!!
