Is the product only enough for one usage? My hair is short, not even shoulder length but thick.

I got 3 uses out of this with short hair.

I used this 1 day after coloring and toning my hair and it made my hair way worse and unmanageable. I couldn’t even brush through my ends.Any thoughts

It's meant to be used before coloring. It says on the box that it may lighten hair and the protein can be drying. I use it a few days to a week before coloring and use a moisturizing deep conditioner the next day. This gives your hair some time to adjust, plus it's fortified and moisturized before coloring.

Is this a bond builder?

If you’re thinking of Olaplex then the short answer is no. The longer answer, given that the protein coats but can penetrate the outer hair layer is maybe (depends on what you’ve done (did?) to your hair.
