This attractive pocket watch has a nice "weighty" feel to it
This attractive pocket watch has a nice "weighty" feel to it.. like a thick commemorative coin. It's just the right size to carry around comfortably in the watch pocket of your jeans. People will notice it when you pull it out to check the time.Be aware that the mainspring is delicate. The first one I had lasted for about a year before I got careless and overwound it. It will run for about 30 hours, so winding it until it's completely taut is not necessary. Count the number of twists it takes the first time you wind it up and then back it off a couple of turns for your daily routine. If you wind it at roughly the same time each day it will keep accurate time.Obviously, I must love it if I was willing to purchase 3 more of them. They ship to the USA via USPS in a bubble-wrapped envelope from China, Don't be in a big hurry to get it, however. Expect customs delays. My order took 49 days.

Recommended if you plan on picking it apart, but not so much if you intend to use it as a watch
First, the reasons why I didn't give this product a five star rating. It arrived broken. When the crown is turned to wind the clock, the mainspring doesn't hold the coil and unwinds itself. The back cover's glass piece fell out of the watch. I don't know how it was supposed to be held in there, whether it be some sort of glue or what have you, but there was absolutely no trace of glue residue or rubber stops. I imagine it could have held on the first few seconds I pulled it out of the packaging just from a solid lick before shipping. As the watch was broken and I wanted to get a closer look at the inside to see if I could easily repair what was wrong, I opened the back panel, which came quite easily. When I finished, I picked up the panel again and pushed it back into place. Mind you, I used a piece of tape to keep the glass on the back because it had already fallen out and I didn't want to lose it or risk having something get jammed in the inner workings of the watch. I foolishly pressed the back cover into place by pushing on the glass cover and it snapped in two. While I take full responsibility for breaking it, it wasn't particularly hard to break and I found it to be quite fragile. If a wrist watch had that quality glass on the front cover, it would surely break from daily use, let alone a pocket watch that has to see the abuse of being shoved in a pocket time and again while having things pressed against it if you should find you actually use the pockets you may or may not have. If you find yourself wearing women's trousers, you shouldn't have this problem because you have nowhere to hold a pocket watch in the first place, let alone have the pockets to hold things that might bang up the watch.Regardless of these issues, the watch is of decent quality. I much like the design of the watch and fixing the problems with the watch will be of little hassle. Fixing the mainspring will simply be sliding pieces back into their proper position and I'll most likely use glass sealer and industrial glue to fix the back panel. I'll just say the crack adds character to the watch. If you intend to purchase this watch for any practical use, I cannot say I recommend buying it, but if you only want it for show, it is fantastic. I initially bought this watch because it is mostly glass and I wanted a watch to pick apart and play with the inner mechanisms and the glass was an attractive way I would be able to see what I was doing. The cheap price was also attractive because there would be little point in investing in an expensive watch only to break it beyond repair. I hope that the issues I had with my watch have only a slim chance of happening with future customers. Altogether a good watch if you are looking to pick it apart anyway because if you're lucky you'll have the first project of fixing it ahead of you!

I would recommend this watch to anyone wanting to get into mechanical ...
Purchased this only as a gift for my 10 year old daughter. I collect antique pocket watches and she always likes watching them run and helping me with cleaning. I decided to spend 15 bucks with free delivery to my door. Now she has her very own piece and not to worried about it getting broken. I would recommend this watch to anyone wanting to get into mechanical watches. Don’t pay more than you need to , most of these watches have the same China movement inside. There’s watches and pocket watches with prices over a 100 bucks but with the exact same movement as this 15 dollar watch. It’s worth getting for less than 20 bucks shipped to your door but not much more than that. This has a very heavy strong case and keeps time pretty close but have to wind up daily so any in accuracies are not that big of a issue. Yes I would recommend but don’t spend to much on a fancy case when the value is in the movement, and these movements are not worth more than 20-25 bucks at the most.

As a timepiece it's not very accurate and gains about a minute a day, but as an ornamental toy it looks and sounds very nice. It has been neverending fun to pull this out of my pocket whenever my coworkers start playing with their expensive smartwatches.

Excellent skeleton design
Excellent skeleton design. Has no logos and doesn't say where it's made anywhere on the watch which is exactly what I wanted.
