Excellent product

The wheels have no edge, and therefore this thing does pretty much nothing. I have an older one similar to this, which is great, and bought this for my sister, because I can not find the exact one I have anywhere. I was pretty disappointed when I tried this using this.

Handles a little flimsy but not flimsy enough to break unless abused... no complaints with the Sharpening.. Gives the normal kitchen knives a razor sharp blade in about 4 strokes.

This item worked for about 20 seconds, then the pins holding the sharpening discs come loose. I've spent too much time trying to re-align the discs and reset the pins completely but have been unsuccessful. In the pictures it looks like it should work but mine fell apart almost immediately. It's more trouble than it is worth to try to return it so in the the trash it goes.

This is a cute, tiny little knife sharpener that you could easily keep anywhere because of it being so small and lightweight. You could hang it off a tiny little nail or hook inside a cabinet, you could easily fit it in any drawer, just about anywhere you could store this small little sharpener. When I recieved this I didn't think much of it. Considering how small and lightweight it was I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes, especially owning a much larger 2 step sharpener that clearly I was going to hold this up against because for ruffly the same price why buy this when you can buy that so to speak. I took a very old pearing knife, that honestly hasn't been used in quite some time, mostly because of how dull it is and I've tried to sharpen it in the past and all I seem to do is create a jagged edge on a dull knife and a lot of shavings. Having recently purchased a few different knifes, including a pearing knife this has been just hanging around until I had the time or thought to get rid of it. What better way to test a knife sharpener than on a knife on its way out the door? At first it was doing the same thing as its done in other sharpeners, and then I got the hang of this one. You drop the back of the knife into the sharpener so you can pull the entire knife toward you thru the center of the sharpener. When you go to drop the back of the knife in at first it rests on top of the wheels, and then if you push down again, it actually drops down a smidge and I guess the best way to describe it is that it locks into place in a way. Once it's dropped down you push down, not a whole lot just enough to apply some pressure, and pull thru toward you, keeping the knife straight as can be from start to end as you pull it toward you. After about 6 or 7 of these I touched the knife, and it still didn't feel very sharp to me, but I thought why not test it out anyway. I have Amazon boxes all over the place so I went up to one and attempted to slice the flap of the box. Much to my surprise this knife sliced right thru it! I then tried to stab it end in first, and it went right thru like butter that had been sitting out on the table all night! This actually was my favorite pearing knife, it use to be my moms and she gave it to me when I divorced my first husband and he took a lot of my stuff, I am so happy I get to keep this now and actually use it! This knife works better now than it did when she gave it to me! I am extremely impressed by this little knife sharpener and highly recommend this very easy to use, tiny lightweight sharpener to anyone and everyone!I did recieve this sharpener at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion of it. Works to hone a knife. A little unwieldy but haven't hurt myself, thankfully.
