Mask is fine- IF you realize it isn’t their “armor” which has the replaceable inserts. A little tight around the ears on a large head.

This is a mask that I thought was literally PERFECT...it was comfortable, it gave me a good fit, didn't irritate my skin, and it didn't cause too much discomfort on my ears. The ear fit is adjustable, it seals your face well, and it did not feel like I was too restricted concerning my breath. If only my experience had stayed that way, I would be singing the praises of this mask to anyone that couldn't find a comfortable one...but it was not meant to last, I guess.I had worn this sparingly until my anniversary where a mask was required during my hotel stay and I had to wear it for about 5 days straight...about 6 hours a day. This mask did really well but I noticed the nose part was not conforming anymore...there was a really good reason for that because the aluminum piece inside the bridge of the nose part broke and the sharp metal began to poke through the fabric. This is quite concerning and a failure like this could potentially really cause some issues that I do not want to experience. Luckily, I noticed it and it didn't poke me in the eye or anything but it was very surprising. If I cannot get more than a week or two worth of wear out of a mask, I think it is not anywhere close to even a fair value. On top of this, there is absolutely NO warranty or anything of the sort for these masks. I do not know of many other products like this that have no support as far as protecting against defects and such but I would absolutely look elsewhere. Inside the box, the mask has a small nylon bag with an elastic top and a little hanging loop on the side that contains the mask within. You can feel multiple layers of fabric inside the mask, and the bottom part has an elastic built-in to seal it closer to your chin, with the top having a metal nose piece sewn inside. The elastic earpieces are adjustable with a sliding catch so that you can adjust the tension to your face. Size-wise, it seems to be a fairly large size, [and I've been told I have a big head], and even though I have a beard, the mask fits my face fairly well. The metal nose stiffener forms the mask fairly well against my face so that even when speaking with the mask on, it does not fog my glasses nearly as much as other masks have in the past. While I'm sure that no mask is completely comfortable, this mask isn't bad as far as comfort-wise. The packaging says that this is washable, but I would definitely recommend hand wash for that, and I found that drying any mask takes a while, so keeping multiple masks on hand for yourself is a good idea. I know this mask is a little more expensive than some of the ones out there, but it has a lot of good features going for it, and I don't have any hesitation recommending this mask to anyone who wants or needs one.

I am disappointed with this mask. First, it feels cheaply made despite the high price tag. The material is quite thin. It's extremely breathable to the point where I worry that it won't actually do any good. Second, the material itself feels very cheap and the nose clip is already poking through the mask. I have washed this mask in a small bag twice and it's already falling apart. I will probably get one more use out of this mask before I need to toss it. The description indicates that this mask can be washed up to 30 times, but there is no way I will get that many washes out of it. Third, even after two washes, there is a slight odor to the mask. I don't know why it smells after being washed twice. It's an unpleasant smell that's also worrisome. I don't want to put something that smells weird over my nose and mouth. Lastly, at this price point, I really would like to know the country of origin. The Charles River website indicates that their products are made in various countries. I really want to avoid masks from China due to their use of forced labor. This has been a challenge for me throughout the pandemic. This product is so expensive that I thought maybe there would be more transparency about country of origin. Overall, I do not recommend this mask. I very rarely give products one star reviews, but this one was very disappointing.
