3B Scientific W17005 Female Baby Care Model, African Ethnicity, 19.7" Height

I purchased two of the male babies and two of the females for the babysitter lessons and safety course I instruct. I use these babies to teach kids how to dress/undress and diaper a newborn. I also use them to teach how to swaddle a newborn and essentially how to hold them (protect the neck, etc). These babies are PERFECT for what I need them for. They are realistic. Incase you're unaware... YES, they do have anatomically correct genitals, so don't be shocked - it does clearly state this. The babies arrive in just the white "diaper" they show in the photo, so I put them in newborn or 0-3 month clothing I had left over from my kids and everything fit fine. Just an FYI: These babies don't "do" anything. They do not makes sounds, have batteries, pee/poop, you can't feed them, etc. If you're looking for a doll baby, keep looking. I consider these training/educational models BUT I will add that my 4 year old daughter is obsessed with them because they look like a real babies and she wants to play with them and hold them... so if you want a very realistic baby doll, it could work, just seems expensive for that purpose in my opinion.

Awesome! Ordered both the female and male one. Have other more expensive reborn dolls that have hair, but sometimes the hair gets messy or falls out. These ones you don't have to worry about. My kids love their babies! Fits mostly newborn size clothes not 0-3 months.

I ordered this baby care model to replace an outdated model in our nursing lab. I expected it to be of about the same quality as other models that I had ordered in the past. I would definitely order this one again. The baby is made of durable material and has a very life-like appearance. The skin color is a very realistic looking pink color and the size is comparable to a real newborn. Our models get lots of hands-on use so they need to be sturdy. It has also been easy to clean. So far, this one seems to fill all of my requirements.

I purchased this baby to use as a therapy baby of sorts, sort of like the reborn doll mommies do, but for WAY less money. He's perfect! He fits newborn-sized clothes the best, and all of his limbs and head turn. He can be sponge-bathed, but I learned the hard way to NOT submerge these babies fully in water to bathe them! I had to remove his legs to empty the water out of them and putting them back on was horrendously difficult. Overall, this baby has been amazing, I love him, and I will be purchasing a female Asian version to join him very soon.

She is gorgeous. I tried a newborn outfit on her, but it was too big for her. The preemie size outfit fits perfectly on her. She is a welcome addition to my doll collection.Updated: I've added a few photos I took of her. She fits in the pink doll bassinet.

I HATE THIS

Bought this for a cheaper model to demonstrate birth through a model pelvis. Does not fit a normal female pelvis, of which I have a replica…it’s more for newborn care, although still it’s a bit large for a newborn, more like a 3-4 month old. Otherwise, very realistic, my 5-yo is fascinated by it so I kept it.

This doll is perfect for teaching newborn care. He's an intact, poseable newborn sized doll. I use him as a baby/newborn model for my sewing of newborn cloth diapers and clothes. It helps my customers to really see what their items will look like on their newborns.
