These were not attractive, which I can forgive.. my winter boots’ leather had cracked, and my feet had been getting wet during this soggy Seattle winter. But, thinking to get through what was left of winter before trashing them, I turned to Amazon. And Voila! The solution to my problem. Or so I’d hoped. I pulled them over my boots, my finger punching a hole directly into the first one in the attempt, but it was near the top so I chided myself for being heavy-handed and carefully pulled on the second as though I were pulling on silk stockings with stiletto nails. Success! From there I bebopped out of my house and was on my way, waterproof AF. Not so. About half a block from my house. I noticed that my feet were feeling damp. This seems strange, as there were no standing puddles of water that I’d passed through. Just slightly wet. Sidewalks from rain earlier. I shrugged it off and went On my way. On arriving at my destination two blocks from my house, a removed my boots, and looked at the bottoms where the sole of my boot was clearly visible as these shoe covers head, then completely shredded, leaving behind a few gossamer strands that had managed to just barely hold them in place. Not only was this a bummer since I had gotten about 5 to 7 minutes of use out of them, but they also had an interesting side effect in addition to not keeping my feet dry. You see, the shredded nitrile or whatever it is acted like a sort of suction device as I was walking and actually pulled what little water there was on the sidewalk up into the space between them and my boots so it was allowing not the occasional leak of water in through the tiny cracks in the leather of my boots, but a steady trickle of water with a small reservoir in waiting at all times. In the spirit of not having a choice, I’m leaving these one star for an opportunity to learn a lesson about balloons, shoes, and sidewalks.

Went on a boat ride and these were perfect, also kept my feet warm, a plus!!!

They do the job keep your shoes dry unfortunately they ripped less than week from purchase.

I picked these up to wear over my shoes at work -- they've stood up to me on my feet all day, exposure to harsh chemicals (2k paint, lacquer thinner, gun wash, 99% isopropyl alcohol, etc.), walking around on a floor often covered in aluminum flake and pieces, acrylic and polycarbonate flake and pieces, indoors and outdoors (currently winter in Minnesota) -- for a few weeks and they're still going strong. No holes, no spots wearing through, not getting brittle or stressed from chemical exposure. I've been putting them on and taking them off frequently (I leave them at the shop but wear my shoes home).Color me impressed! I'm very happy with these and would recommend them. I was only expecting a few uses out of these based on other reviews and I can't say I've been gentle or careful with them.

Got cut and toar easily just by my bike side stand mistakenly. Not durable against sharp objects. Best for simple use of short walks not everyday travel.
