It works :-)
I spend time in two countries and this is so cheap I own 2 so I don't need to pack it. I do not get the pros who relying on batteries. I just shot an 18 minute video and I eh, no battery worries. Heck the cord does not interfere with my teleprompter rails Life is all good.

Works perfectly - need to buy the multi position tripod attachment too though!
Does what it says. Must have if you wanna record for long periods of time! Just make sure your memory card doesn't run out of space. I got this for a Sony zv1 1 and I would suggest getting the dummy battery attachment that allows for different tripod mounting positions. If you don't, you can't use the dummy battery on a tripod because the battery door gets in the way. Just search dummy battery tripod attachment. Works perfectly!

Battery compartment doesn’t close
Everything is great. I can finally use my camera as a webcam without changing batteries every couple hours. However I didn’t realize the battery compartment wouldn’t close. Not this product’s fault (unless they could design a flat flexible study cable which seems unlikely) but I wish I knew ahead of time. Having the battery compartment open all day doesn’t impact performance. I have considered carving out the plastic (my Nikon has a little notch for a cable) but there’s really no “need” to mutilate the Sony camera body for the sake of … wish the battery door would close.

Best investment so far for my Sony ZV-1F
The media could not be loaded. This dummy charger is my absolute GO TO!! Best investment for my camera by far. It’s easy to use. The cord is long enough to fit and setup almost anywhere. It’s never died on me and my Sony ZV-1F has THE WORST battery life.

Simply Works!! Used on Sony ZV-1 Vlogging Camera
Bought this one for my ZV-1 after doing a lot of research with mixed reviews, but pulled the trigger on this one because this brand has another dummy battery kit for the bigger Sony cameras with raving reviews. Decided to take a chance, and it worked right out of the box.Simply plug everything in, stick in the battery (obviously, the battery door must remain open on the ZV1), and turn on USB streaming mode (must be on v2.0 of the camera firmware) and everything worked like a charm! Installed Sony's Imaging Edge Webcam software on my PC and now I have a great streaming webcam.Haven't tested it's long term capabilities, but I've ran a few 2+ hour webcam sessions with no issues, no overheating, no warning messages. It just works!
