Awesome buy
A chef friend of mine kept pestering me about my cheap knives so I decided to buy new ones. This is the first in the set that I bought. I just bought one at a time because I was skeptical about the quality since the price is so good.I absolutely love the style of the knife. It’s sort of insane that the price is so low considering just the leather sheath by itself could go for fifty bucks. So really, jaw dropping. The handle is real wood, the details are lovely.I didn’t give five stars because it’s obvious it’s not completely hand forged, but at that price I didn’t actually expect it to be. I’m sure some of the details are done by hand, maybe more, but it’s not completely hand forged. Second reason why not 5 star is because it’s a heavy weight and actually hurts my wrist after a while, this can be good or bad depending on your preference. Initially I loved the weight, but after a while of chopping, not so much. And lastly, it’s not branded anywhere so you can tell it’s not a super high end or well known brand, but that doesn’t bother me since usually you pay four times as much just to get branding. All in all a great knife for someone who is not a professional chef and knife snob but still wants cool knives in their kitchen or something to take to a bbq or camping since it comes with a cool carry case. Pretty impressive and I just got a few other sizes to add to my collection. Might need to be sharpened if you want to actually drop a tomato from the sky and have it sliced.
