If you planning to use it for air drop you got be extremely careful on this Product.It attached on top off the drone. If you trying to attached line to it. It’s extremely easy to tangled with propellers and causing damage.I was trying to put it under the drone, but by the time it landing drone will not land properly.Please read before you purchase. This item in no way fits onto a Phantom 3 - Not on the top, not on the bottom, no where at all. You would need to build your own bracket to make this work.

It's range is terrible. It's not a great design either.

Dificult tomuse and no range

Really short range this it not worth a penny

This one looked the same and was slightly cheaper so I thought it'd be the same....but was absolutely terrible quality. The range is about 20ft, so the fact they list 500m is LAUGHABLE and nothing short of unethical business practice. I can see from other reviewers that this is not just a defective unit, it's simply a LIE. Spend the extra 5-15 bucks and get the good one, not this pathetic piece of junk.

I attached mine to my Traxxas Aton. I used zip ties through the mounts for the legs the attached the legs to the drone. Long time rc person, this was an easy fix. Did not use the Velcro that came with it. The Velcro was not long enough to go around the drone. Since the legs need to be installed to land safely with the dropper hanging below it worked great.I tested before going to the ocean. I could hang 4 pyramid weights totalling 17 ounces to a loop and fly easily, worked best in camera mode to remain stable. At my house I tested it and dropped the weights at 140 yards away, worked perfectly every time.At the ocean, it was very hard to judge range. This drone has a return to home at 150 meters, gps brings it back automatically at that range. The controller beeps when it happens so you know. When I heard the beeps I would release my line. It worked great every time I used it. Line never tangled, remote worked flawlessly at that range. We would hit the unlock or release a few times, it was at night and hard to see and we wanted to be sure it dropped. We do this to get the line out further then we can cast.I was more then pleased with the release. We were very careful taking off to make sure the rod tip was on the ground, another person held the fishing rod.Thanks for the great product at a cheap price. I got to believe other people reviewing with issues might be trying to go past its range. If they are getting tangled, operator error, can’t blame the drop device for that. My 9 year old and I were actually making a game out of dropping the over 1lb of fishing weights into a bucket, it wasn’t easy bIt gave us some good practice!Drone is still a little sandy from PCB!Hope others have good luck too!
