San Francisco Bay Breakfast Blend K-Cup Compatible Coffee Pods, 80 ct

We've been using Starbucks Pike Place pods for a long time, but hate that the pods are not earth friendly. We tried this coffee mostly because of the pod is compostable, but found that we love the flavor over Starbucks! It's so smooth and just good! I'm signing up today for automatic shipments of this coffee.

Howdy! I've bought many orders of the San Fran Bay Breakfast Blend coffee and I must say that I have ZERO complaints. No bugs (as described by other ads) and I personally think the coffee is quite good. For the price, you really can't beat 80 k-cups for only $29 or $27.55 if you select the subscription option. This particular blend is perfect as it's not weak, but its strong enough for me as I enjoy a bold flavor coffee without that burnt/French roast flavor. To give you an idea of their coffee flavor "strength", this Breakfast Blend is stronger than any of the Green Mountain offerings (except the French Roast) but slightly less bold than a Newman's Own "Medium Roast Coffee Extra Bold". Hopefully that will give you an idea of where this coffee stands on a strength scale. As others have mentioned, the big difference is in the k-cups. They're not your standard completely-enveloped-in-plastic design, there is a top and the bottom is an open filter. Still, not a problem as each box includes a small container to keep your k-cups fresh. There are about 10 sealed bags per box, each bag contains 8 k-cups. Once I open a bag, I throw the other 7 unused k-cups in my plastic "stay fresh" container. Work well and there's an AMAZINGLY enjoyable coffee aroma that fills my office whenever I open the stay fresh container. Tasty and perfect for coffee time. I like it and I think these less wasteful containers are a better deal than anything at Costco or other big warehouse stores. I like it so much that my coworkers and regularly order (via the Amazon sub service) these k-cups every 2 months. Good stuff and even if you're not sure, it's a small cost to try something new. BTW, of all the coffee we've ordered from San Fran Bay, none of our orders have ever contains bugs or stale coffee.

Dear Amazon Shopper, For those of you who are tired of chomping through dollar bills every morning to get your caffeine fix, these "OneCup's" are a better-than-passable alternative to standard K-cups. I used to get variety packs of K-cups to keep my morning fix affordable, so I have a fair bit of experience with various flavors of K-Cup. This "breakfast blend" is at least on-par with its more expensive counterparts. In spite of their lesser volume (which doesn't necessarily mean less grounds), these cups produce a mild, flavorful cup of coffee that will take the edge off your morning languor. I while I prefer the Fog-Chaser to really shake off the cognitive sludge, the breakfast blend fulfills its promise of producing a great, mild cup of coffe. This is without question a 5-star buy, but there are a few things to know before you pull the trigger: 1. These work perfectly fine in your Keurig brewer. I threw this one in here just to put you at ease. I've been gassing up my soul with the Fog-Chaser blend long enough that if there were a problem to encounter, I would've hit it by now. Rest assured these will serve you just fine. 2. These are smaller than normal K-cups. This doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of potency (which I find is at least as strong), but what it does translate to is a bit of empty space in the K-cup chamber, which necessitates a quick wipe-down every now and then. 3. The grounds in these OneCups are contained in a fine mesh. Because the grounds are enmeshed, rather than sealed in plastic, there is some exposure to air. While this results in the pleasant aroma of coffee wafting from the cups, it also suggests that they're liable to suffer from oxidation if you don't use them quickly enough. The manufacturer apparently considered this and sealed the cups in separate bags in blocs of 8, meaning if you drink a cup a day, the oxidative stress on the very last cup wont have existed for more than a week, mitigating any adverse effects on the coffee. With the rate at which I typically burn through OneCups, I have never noticed any degradation in flavor. And that sums it up. There's no reason not to get these if you want a less-costly, potentially superior (depending on your tastes) alternative to standard Kash-Cups. Just keep in mind that this particular blend is milder than most, meaning if you want something that'll really gas up your soul in the morning, you may want to opt for the Fog-Chaser blend. Great coffee with bold flavor. Good choice if you like medium to dark roast. Also, Love the compostable pods!! Works perfect in my Keurig. I’ve reordered twice and loving it. The price is very reasonable too!

This is my new go-to coffee. I was using the pods and felt a bit guilty about the amount of plastic from regular pods. This one is a good alternative. I'm a bit confused about the "commercially compostable label". Does it mean that I can't do it at home? Regardless, it seems to be more environmentally friendly and the flavor is good. I prefer the less strong donut shop but this one is good too.
