These are delicious (and addictive!) coffee flavored candies! Great to just have around the house, or in the car on a trip!

Probably my husband's favorite candy! A hard candy but get chewy once they're a little warm. Great to help stay awake on a car trip.

I really like these as a quick pick-me-up. A sweet combination taste of coffee and chocolate satisfies my sweet tooth and keeps me from choosing a candy bar or bowl of ice cream. Easy to carry in my purse should an emergency sugar attack hit. Too sticky to be chewed. Chewing would be bad on teeth. So they last longer as they melt gradually. A little pricey, but I don't mind splurging to treat myself. Guests like them too.

Like others, I became addicted to these years ago when they were easily purchased at TJs. As noted by others, some of the candies arrive partially unwrapped and stuck to other candies, but they still taste the same great taste and there's been no change in texture. Nothing else on the market even begins to compare with the original coffee rio.

I got these as a way to micro-dose caffeine when I’m at work, as well as enjoy a coffee flavor experience without having to make coffee. These candies have a stale oil taste to them which I was hoping would go away as I sucked on them. I’m sad to say the stale taste is prominent throughout. Aside from the stale taste, they also have a prominent “burnt” flavor to them, more like burnt milk than any kind of roast coffee flavor. The actual coffee flavor is very faint, almost non-existent compared to the other flavors. Thankfully these aren’t overly sweet, but due to the other unexpected and unfavorable prominent flavors I wish I could return these and get my money back. I couldn’t find an expiration date on the package so I have no idea how fresh they are, or are not. They do not taste fresh. They are rather hard, not chewable, which is fine for me, I prefer not to chew them anyway.

It's pretty stiff, but honestly, I prefer that in a caramel. Makes it last longer, and gives my jaw a workout. The coffee flavor is somewhat stale, but it's not too bad. I mostly just got these to tide me over if I'm too lazy to make coffee, 'cause caffeine withdrawal sucks. Might be softer at higher ambient temperatures, but it's still relatively cool at the moment.
