Great street photography lens
A really good prime lens, almost perfect for street photography. Sharp, not too big, not too heavy, very fast focusing. It's not a cheap lens, but it's a premium lens, so it's not unexpected.

Great Lens - portable & lightweight, beautiful images
I got this for a recent trip to Japan. I used it everywhere from Tokyo & Kyoto, to Hirafu & Sapporo. This is an awesome landscape or street lens, but don't sleep on the portrait capabilities. This lens can product wonderful Bokeh. The autofocus is very quick (shooting with an A7CII). Sharpness is great edge to edge. The lense is small, lightweight, and very portable.

Outstanding prime lensโa must-have for video and photo
You really canโt go wrong with this beauty of a prime lens. Shooting wide open at f/1.4 allows you to get incredibly creative. It is an absolute game-changer for videographers looking to achieve a beautiful cinematic effect with a shallow depth of field. The images are razor-sharp, and the autofocus is blazing fast. I absolutely love this lens!

A fantastic lens!
This lens is a perfect fit for my A7CR - fast, optically fantastic, lightweight (relatively speaking), well-built, and compact. So sharp it is ridiculous. Autofocus is spot on and very fast paired with the aforementioned camera. This was the first lens I purchased with my recent camera equipment refresh cycle and would likely be my choice if I had only one lens. The fast aperture allows very low light work and the lens performs so well wide open. Also, since it is a first party lens, it works with Sony's lens breathing compensation, which is available on newer Sony bodies during video shooting. Highly recommended!

great lens for the price
Let me say this, I don't like spending much money. But ive decided to pick up photography as a new recent hobby and after upgrading from a iPhone 11 Pro. I purchased a Sony a7c and this lens.coming from someone that knows absolutely nothing about these types of cameras and settings. I was a bit afraid spending this much Money to get into the hobby ( I don't enjoy upgrading once I get use to something so I decided to go all out at first).first off this lens is AMAZING. Focus is amazing, weight is amazing. it is a great lens for everything I throw at it. I mostly take car photography and street. After taking a few hours watching videos on this lens and how to use it. ive taken some great pictures. I lent my setup to my buddy that takes pictures professionally and he was blown away by its performance. Great lens. Don't worry about the price. You will not regret your purchase one bit.Edit: After almost 2 years with this lens, It is still my #1 lens. Every photo I have ever taken with it looks AMAZING. Super fast auto fucus on my m a7R V. Ive used it in hard rain, snow, mud, and 110 degree conditions and its never failed. If you are looking for a 35mm lens... This is the one.

Great lens, only one critique
Arguably one of the greatest lenses to get. Very versatile, excellent image, and very well built. If youโre shooting video, the autofocus can almost be too quick - resulting in the focus jumping around a bit. Still a phenomenal lens.

New favorite focal length.
Brilliant lens.Context:I also own a 50mm 1.4 GM lens, great lens. I do paid work to photograph venues and events and both of these lenses do the job very well given a lot of these venues are in low light. Why I needed this 35mm was to capture the environment more. Many situations made the 50mm a bit tight and found myself with my back up against the wall to capture the moments. Both of these lenses do well with a photographer who capture pictures that tell a story. A picture is worth a thousand words after all. This is where the 35mm really shines. It's a story telling focal length and in the right hands, it will do that job very well.If I had to do it all over, I'd pick the 35mm first and gauge if a 50mm is needed. Which from what I see I don't think I need anymore and may sell the 50mm.
