This suspense/horror/crime novel is well written but its psychopathic criminal might leave some feeling queezy!

Wanted a fast paced crime thriller and this doesn’t disappoint. Not finished yet but kept my attention and very much a page turner.

I enjoyed my time with this book. This is the first book of the series I read and did not read the earlier book with these characters. The pacing is steady and the very short chapters make you want to keep reading. The suspense stays pretty high throughout and the characters are developed pretty well. There's nothing mind-blowing here when comparing to other books in this genre but the writing quality and prose stand out. Most of the twists are predictable but I was caught off guard on a few occasions. The violent scenes aren't too gory or stomach turning. I recommend this book if you enjoy procedural suspense novels. I will probably go back and read the first book in the series after reading this one.
