Go back 32 years with me. I'm a cute chubby little 4 year old getting my morning hair style for another tough day of kindergarten. (Yes we start early up in the mountains.) My Mom, bless her heart was on her last baby and boy were they saving the best for last! She'd take the time to braid my hair, put ribbons and bows in the long deep dark brown hair. She'd sing The Little Indian song to me because I wanted to look just like my Dad's sisters. She'd send me off to school and I'd come home every single day with no hair doo to speak of unless you are Mr. Yahoo Serious. Knots, clumps, dirt, a worm from time to time, once a dog treat...all have been found in my hair over the years. Finally, giving into the fact I would never be prim for more than an hour a day she gave me a Dorthy Hamill and I was Sarah The Fat Boy for years. Fast forward those horrible years called life before 25 and we're to about 11 years ago. I had hair down to the middle of my back that was so thick hair stylists couldn't believe their brushes. Never processed, and hardly every dry as it was that thick and long. Still hard as heck to comb, but long hair was just something I needed. No pain, no gain! Then life kicked in, we'll fast forward past some surgery, some weight loss, a dash of stress and one giant incurable disease that called for medication that took all that hair away. I started over. We are now in the near past (last week), I'm a okay. My hair on the other hand has gone through several lengths and came full circle to hair nearly to my waist. This hair is thin, and without serious amounts of hydrotherapie or maybe lard would not comb / brush / iron / pull / etc thorough tangles. Often I would just braid a tangle into the the fold as cutting or leaving was the only option that day. I was losing more hair than a very large old stuffed cat, should I try to brush my hair. Then I stumbled upon The Wet Brush. Now, I've tried every comb, clicker brush, no nibby metal prong, wooden, plastic, silicone, pick, finger comb, brush combo out there. Thousands of dollars over the years looking for something to brush out my uber thick non curly hair and then my uber thin still tangledy hair. I have a closet of conditioners that makes most supply warehouses look weak. I figured, what's one more brush for less than $10 with all these stars?! I ordered it. Prime always makes it easier for me! *triangle & harp music* *fade to color ala Wizard of OZ* I didn't wash my hair for a long time as I was going to put a rinse in it. I asked my Mom to brush my hair out over a towel because it makes such a mess. Besides who better than the woman who started the long hair love affair of mine only to rip it away with a sassy skater cut?! I digress, to the night in question. She starts to brush and I hand her the ultra de-tangler just in case! She's not exactly a sweet fawn with my hair or my mouth. Weird part? It doesn't hurt and I'm thinking, my gosh my hair must be really really, grody greasy... ewewewewwwwww. Then she flips the first portion over my shoulder and I said what on earth are you doing?! If you're not going to bother to brush it, I'll make someone else do it. She replies...Sarah...there is no hair coming out and I did brush it! It's totally smooth, look! Sit still and shut up! She keeps brushing and it's like nothing is going on back there. Certainly not a replay from 32 years ago with her brushing my feral child hair and me yelling b*stard out my cute 4 year old mouth. When she was done there was a small bunch of hair...a normal amount of shedding. My scalp was not bleeding. I was not crying, nor was she. The towel was not playing a game of Harry and The Almost Henderson's. My hair was smooth, brushed out, ready for a rinse. Then this morning I washed my hair very quickly for an appointment and used the brush and same result. No issues. I don't know that this is the Shroud of Turin or even the secret to Martha Stewart looking not a day over 60...but this brush is something! Order one. See the difference. Feel it. I'm a realist, aka pessimist. This brush is cooler than the other side of my pillow and I will never go without one again. Then come back and tell me how to get away with yelling cuss words to get my Mom's goose with no tangles?

It really is tangle free in use, very effective. It's lightweight and arrived promptly and well packed. A bit pricey, but a durable and useful brush.

An amazing wet brush! Doesn’t break my hair when wet. We also got this because my three year old HATES having her hair brushed because of the pain from the knots, we have previously tried detangling sprays & different types of detangler brushes without effect. We call this the magic brush in our house because it glides through her hair, takes the knots out with minimal pain - WE LOVE THIS BRUSH. Has made a daily screaming match a joyful and effortless task - grateful mumma.
