Q: My hand is 4" wide and 8" long. What size do you recommend?

Mine is almost identical. I like a firmer fit so I go with a Cadet large. The glove will give a little as you play but goes on snug.

Q: What does hand orientation mean? If it says left, is it worn on the left or right hand? Confusing

It is for what hand you need the glove for and the one you wear it on.

Q: Has the sizing changed from last year? i reordered ml size and it’s tight (i have order twice prior each of last 2 years). these are the best gloves

Not in my experience, no. It is a very good glove.
