Review: Great for Pellet Grills! - Saw a suggestion to try these with your pellet grill and for the price I figured it was worth a shot. Turns out it was well worth it! By adding a little thermal mass to the smoker it really helps to maintain temps when you need to open the lid, and recover quickly. I am no longer apprehensive about opening my Traeger to get a quick temp or flip the meat etc. This is most effective on longer cooks after the Briquettes have really had some time to soak up some heat. They stay in place when the grill is moved around and will last for the lifetime of the grill. 50 was more than sufficient to cover the best areas in the bottom of my Pro 34, one of the larger sized grills. I see a lot of reviews mentioning the use of these briquettes in gas or even charcoal grills, but they are a surprisingly invaluable addition to pellet grills as well, and at a low cost to boot. This is an excellent product that I heartily recommend, 5/5 stars.

**Q: Are these a good substitute for broilmaster dpa34 briquettes?**
A: These are similar in the half briquette shape and by appearances, they do seem to have a similar composition. I do not know if they are exactly the same but these briquettes worked for me.

**Q: Do these briquettes crack with high heat (over 600F)?**
A: have not had any problems with cracking

**Q: How does this product (briquettes) compare to ceramic grill tiles (Grill Greats)?**
A: Ceramic ones seem to do way better and are holding up great , use my grill almost everyday

**Q: Will marsmellows brown with these?**
A: I really do not know as I have never tried this before. I would assume, depending on the heat of the grill, they could simply melt and drip onto the coals. Frankly in so far as grilling is concerned we are most happy with the product and would highly recommend it for grilling purposes.

Saw a suggestion to try these with your pellet grill and for the price I figured it was worth a shot. Turns out it was well worth it! They work great. My weber is better than new. very even heating for a more predictable outcome. However, my grill is only a small three burner and there were not enough briquettes to cover the bottom. I can’t imagine one box doing a large grill well.
