I'd have to say that this is without a doubt the easiest kids toy type of thing I have put together in years. This is not your "IKEA" idea of a tortured assembly process. There is one and only one kind of screw. The materials are generally good quality. The amount of accessory parts is great. I put this together myself in less than an hour with my Leatherman. Now, there are a couple of drawbacks that take away from a perfect 5 here. First, the directions can best be termed as minimalist. It is easy to be confused or make a mistake in one or two places that will require you to go back and fix it later. Not too bad, but not great. There are also one or two areas where corners were cut that could have made this product even better. One is the front sign panel, it has too few connections points to sit perfectly flat, which is a minor issue. There are no cap covers provided for the screw holes. So, you can see each one. Covers would have been nice and make the product look that much better. Third, as has been noted in other reviews, the lid can not flip both ways when the ice cream cones have ice cream on them. This is a simple design flaw that could have been addressed by making the retaining holes for the cones bigger so they would sit a bit lower. This could be done at home by those with a drill press cleanly, or without one not so cleanly. The design flaw could lead to the clear plastic in the lid breaking at some point and will certainly lead to it being marred if a child tries to use it with ice cream in the ice cream cones. So, again, great product, just a bit shy of a full 5 stars.

** Update 1/2020** I ordered this again for my own kids this time and I don’t know if they redid it or if maybe I was more knowledgeable or what but it was very easy to put together. I wish the screws had sharp ends because it would be less work but it only took me 45 mins to assemble and it is still super adorable.I'm giving this 4 stars because the actual toy is adorable, the play food is really cute and well made, and the kids love it. BUT... putting this together is what nightmares are made of. I'm not exaggerating when I say that 25% of the parts either had no premade hole or it was so misaligned that I had to drill a new one. The directions are confusing and frustrating too so put together at night when the children are sleeping and they can't hear you cussing and yelling and throwing things when it takes you 3 hours to put together. I'd buy again, because my time is worthless and I'm not spending $130 on the Melissa and Doug version, but if you're important and have important things to do (or lack a power drill) you might want to buy a different one.

This cart is absolutely adorable (and well stocked to boot)! Our 4 year old has spent the last week selling us ice cream at all hours of the day and has yet to get bored. Some reviewers mentioned issues with assembly, and to some extent they are correct: this doesn't have the clearest instructions and you really have to pay attention to all the pieces to make sure they're being put in the right direction, but by no means is as difficult as it would seem. Overall the final toy is solid and well made, and a fraction of the price compared to brand names. Would buy this again without hesitation.

Adorable! We have had it for about a month now and both of my kids, 3 and 18 months, play with it daily. So far, it has held up to my rough 18 month old boy. He likes to throw the pieces and I have not noticed any scratches or chips in the paint. My husband had some difficulty putting it together, as the directions aren't the best, but it was definitely worth it, considering the price and quality!

I typically enjoy assembling things and I’m quite handy. However this product was a disaster: 50% of the holes were not drilled deeply enough to fully insert the screws without a drill; one critical board was drilled on the incorrect side (I had to jerry rig it with wood glue), several were drilled in the wrong spot, so pieces did not line up, and one or two pieces were cut too long so the cart looks wonky when assembled. The toy has real potential and the accessories are adorable, but the manufacturing ruined it. Do no buy.

Super Cute but the boards are thinner than I expected so its not as sturdy as you would think it should be since its for small children who arent always gentle. UPS left my package in the rain with pieces falling out of the box on both ends so some damage was done to it unfortunately. I think the box needs to be taped on the ends before leaving the warehouse to handle the weight and shifting of the product inside. The Instructions were very unclear and just a short series of images, no wording to explain what was what. It shows certain parts being labeled with letters like A,B C etc on the paper but the parts themselves werent labeled and had the slightest difference making me redo different pieces of it multiple times until I figured out where it all went on my own.

Very cute and 2 year old loves playing with however came with 4 parts cracked/broken that required wood glue and makes it a little wobbly. Seems to be consistent with other reviews and for the price is disappointing. Didn’t return bc was a birthday gift needed right away. The size was also a little underwhelming in person. Also the cart storage cabinets do not close with the cones assembled and the scooper does not fit in the designated spot - again for the price point feel these are pretty big design flaws however child does enjoy playing with it

Some of the pieces will be loose when you assemble it but once you have everything screwed in it does fit together and the directions are little bit hard to understand because not all the pieces are label as it says in the directions
